We wanted to acknowledge our wonderful participants from our first ever...

"Picture This" Introduction to Smart Phone Photography Class!

What a fun time we had! We covered many basics, but also shared tips and tricks that are used in traditional photography; that can be utilized with just your phone!

We spent half of our class outside practicing newly learned skills and tricks. Exciting additions to keep in their tool box. We roamed the Watkins Glen Library and The International Motor Racing Research Center next door. ( Thank you Both!)

Like detectives studying lighting , lines and textures...Andrea, Sharon, Linda and Aimee, Wowed us with their final photos as we all sat down to review them. Each having their own style and eye for what speaks to them, everyone's personalities translated into art!

Temperatures reached a high of 91!

Here at Watkins Glen Photography, we sure do appreciate beautiful scenery...
but not as much as we appreciate moments like this. It may seem simple to some.

Watching this pet owner, taking a break and letting her furry companion cool off in the refreshing water of Seneca Lake, reminds us that dogs can't regulate heat like we do. If you feel hot, its safe to say...your buddy is hotter. That extreme heat can cause dangerous health risk to our pets.

We sweat, they pant. But sometimes that's not enough. I don't know how we would do ,wearing a Furr coat in extreme heat. Oh ya, we wouldn't! Pups don't have a choice. Keep them hydrated and give them a place to cool off.

*have innovative ideas for keeping your pets cool in the summer? share your tips. We could all use reminders.

Ill start with one:
Remember to bring water for your pet on walks. Did you know they sell insulated water bottle covers and collapsible water bowls with a carabiner clip that you can attach to your bike or belt loop? You can find them anywhere pet supplies are sold ...starting as low as $5!

Lets give this responsible pet owner a shoutout, for a job well done.

We had a great time providing coverage of the 25th Annual Donald Brubaker Golf Tournament yesterday.

The Corning Country Club was amazing and beautiful and an absolutely amazing host!

If you're looking for an air conditioner and Walmart is still completely out ... You may need to still go there and shop a bit to get cooled off ... And, don't forget Seneca Lake is open and those cool waters help too!
