What does factory farming have to do with COVID?

Wet markets are by no means the beginning and end of pandemic threat. People throughout the US (and around the world) go to work while ill, just to pay their bills.

1.2 million workers in Virginia still do not have paid sick days. This includes many home healthcare workers, who provide care to elderly folks – which puts them on the frontline of the battle with COVID-19.

As the need for sick days and healthcare support becomes more obvious and dire during the pandemic, we’re glad Virginia Interfaith Center for Public Policy continues to fight for workers’ rights.
