The prayer from my youth is still my prayer as an adult. The Devil is real people. Sometimes they sit next to you in the pews. Sometimes they are your “friends” or “family.” BUT GODIS my and your protector. We don’t have to justify, or explain ourselves to anyone. GODIS fights for us and vengeance “is mine” says the Lord! 🙏🏾❤️ PS: And mental illness is REAL! So prayers for them is needed and for ourselves. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Psalms 27

1 The LORD is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall.
3 Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident.
4 One thing I ask from the LORD, this only do I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze on the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his sacred tent and set me high upon a rock.
6 Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his sacred tent I will sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.
7 Hear my voice when I call, LORD; be merciful to me and answer me.
8 My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, LORD, I will seek.
9 Do not hide your face from me, do not turn your servant away in anger; you have been my helper. Do not reject me or forsake me, God my Savior.
10 Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.
11 Teach me your way, LORD; lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.
12 Do not turn me over to the desire of my foes, for false witnesses rise up against me, spouting malicious accusations.
13 I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
14 Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

EARLY VOTING HAS BEGUN. There are many great Dems on the ballot and I want to tell you about three progressive women I’m supporting:
✅ Shayla Favor for County Prosecutor
✅ Sarah Pomeroy for OH 10
✅ Meredith Lawson-Rowe for OH 5

Having been a prosecutor, Councilmember, and nonprofit leader, Shayla will be smart on crime by getting tough on its root causes. She’s prosecuted neighborhood blight and safety; passed policies to address the housing, homelessness, and addiction crises; and supported community policing. Shayla will be a change agent and a fighter for the people: working to reform an unjust and inequitable system while going after violent crime.

Sarah is a brilliant attorney who has spent her career bringing to justice the slumlords who exploit our residents. Seeking to represent German Village, South Hilltop, and Grove City, her priorities will be education, good jobs, and housing.

Meredith is a lifelong friend. A longtime activist and public servant, she has turned her values into action now as President of the Reynoldsburg City Council. Deeply rooted in her community, she will prioritize seniors, transit, women’s healthcare, housing, and more.

Did you know: women are the majority, but hold only 1 in 4 elected offices in Ohio? And among prosecutors: only 1% nationally are Black women and 0% in Ohio.

On or before March 19, you can do something about that. Let’s go vote!

I love my church! I can go Saturdays 9:30 am or 6:00 pm or Sundays 9:30 am or listen and worship on-line when can’t get out. GODIS makes a way for me to get the WORD even with my busy schedule. Find a place for you to stay connected. 🙏🏾❤️

A child's trust for his parents. A siblings trust for each other. Lovers trust, spouses trust and the trust of leaders politically and religiously. You may love many people, however, very few will have your trust. Seek love and trust, give love and be trustworthy in your relationships. .

Whew! I have been very ill since Sunday night. But GODIS gave me strength when I needed it to perform important tasks. 🙏🏾🙏🏾 The Devil is a liar and GODIS gets ALL the glory! Chrons can’t keep me down long! 👏🏾 😘

Who You Are in America

I don’t care who you are
How much money you have
How pretty you are
How light you are
How brown you are
How dark you are
How smart you are
How inventive you are
How much education you have
How bigger your house
How large your bank account
How many people worship you
How many people hate you
How many people love you.
If you are a Black or Brown woman
You have at some point in America
Felt unworthy
Less then
Beneath them
Scorned by them
Hated by them
Feared by them
Beaten down by them
Enclosed by them
Pushed back by them
None existence by them
But still a part of them
As you find your way
To a better place
Of thinking about yourself
Caring for yourself
Loving yourself
And forgiving yourself
For not believing in yourself
And uplifting yourself
Because you are a queen
Set out to be
The most beautiful one
That anyone has seen
And no one can be
Who God has made you to be
So you now understand
The master plan
Which is to conquer all
That would come against you

Telling the truth about something that is a “fact” is NOT complaining. It’s informing those that need to know. It’s still a struggle out here folks.
