Theth, Albania.
Tucked in the heart of the Albanian Alps, this remote village sits at nearly 2,500 feet—reached only by a winding one-lane road through 25+ mountain switchbacks.

Some of the best hiking we’ve ever done, with trails leading to waterfalls, blue-eye pools, and valleys carved by glaciers.

Himarë and Dhërmi.
Two quiet towns tucked along the Albanian Riviera — all stone paths, salty air, and water so clear it doesn’t look real. We spent our days swimming, reading, eating fish straight off the grill, and chasing shade when the sun got too strong.

One of the highlights was Gjipe Beach — tucked between cliffs at the end of a dirt road and a short hike. No cars, no crowds, just a cove of turquoise water and the sound of wind through the canyon.

Hard to beat this stretch of coast. Not flashy, just honest and beautiful in the best way.

The City of Stone — The kind of place that makes you speak softer, walk slower, and wonder who lived behind each carved wooden door a hundred years ago.

The first leg of our Albanian adventure: Berat.
Stone streets, slow mornings, warm light on whitewashed walls — this place charmed us from the start. Grateful for quiet corners and new perspectives.

More to come as we head south.
