heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain
have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
forecast. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Flash Flood Warning for... South Central Hill County in central Texas... Northeastern McLennan County in central Texas...

Until 1130 PM CDT.

At 832 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimates between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen in the past hour. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Waco, Lacy-Lakeview, West, Lake Waco, Gholson, Leroy, Ross, Wiggins, Elm Mott, Tours and Rock Creek.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Fort Worth has issued a

Tornado Warning for... North central McLennan County in central Texas... East central Bosque County in central Texas... South central Hill County in central Texas...

Until 815 PM CDT.

At 751 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Gholson, or 11 miles northwest of Waco, moving northeast at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

Locations impacted include... Wiggins, Ross, Rock Creek, Gholson, Aquilla, and China Spring.

This includes Interstate 35 between mile markers 347 and 348.

UPDATE… Two were transported by ground ambulance, according to Hill County Sheriff’s Office. One of the injured did die from the injuries sustained in the accident.
It was confirmed that the bird was canceled after initially being told it landed in a field near the accident scene.

Head on collision on 933 north of White Bluff. Road shut down while they clean it up. One airlifted and one transported by ground ambulance. Hill County S.O. and multiple fire departments on the scene
