💥The 6637 Filter Mod: Power Gains or Performance Drains?💥

For years, 7.3L Power Stroke owners have sworn by the 6637 filter mod. It’s cheap, easy, and sounds cool, but KC Turbos just crushed the hype with cold, hard dyno data.

First up, they tested the “Zoodad mod,” cutting a hole in the core support to bring cooler air into the factory airbox. No real horsepower gains, but intake temps dropped dramatically. Cooler air, better for towing. Win.

Then came the 6637 test… and the results were brutal. Hotter air temps before the truck even ran. On the dyno? Down 12 horsepower, 38 lb-ft of torque lost, and a terrifying 200º spike in exhaust temps. That’s not performance, that’s engine damage waiting to happen.

KC’s verdict? The 6637 is basically a giant hot-air intake. They’ve seen it cause poor power, high EGTs, smoke, and collapsed boots. It looks cool, maybe, but it could be hurting your truck.

Bottom line: Cold air matters. Keep your intake pulling fresh air from outside the engine bay, your turbo (and your wallet) will thank you.

A dyno test from KC Turbos shows the popular 6637 filter for the 7.3L Power Stroke actually loses horsepower and dramatically increases EGTs.

💥Inside the 2025 Ram 2500 Laramie: The Most Comfortable Workhorse Yet!💥

The 2025 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty continues to raise the bar for truck interiors, and the Laramie Crew Cab 4×4 might be the sweet spot. It’s not the top-tier trim, but you’d barely know it. With leather-trimmed heated seats, a sleek 12" Uconnect display, and a tech-packed Level 1 Plus Package, this truck feels more like a mobile command center than a jobsite rig.

It’s got room to stretch, smart storage everywhere, and more USB ports than you’ll ever need, including USB-C. The rear seats are family-friendly, and the optional dual wireless chargers and adaptive steering make daily driving a breeze.

At over $82K, it’s no small investment, but for a diesel-powered truck that can tow, haul, and coddle your entire crew in comfort? You’re getting what you pay for.

Want a full breakdown of every feature, from coin trays to tow mirrors?

💥The Army’s New Combat Rig Is Basically a Chevy Colorado ZR2 in Disguise!💥

Think that battle-ready green beast rolling off a Chinook is some top-secret, one-off military prototype? Think again. The U.S. Army’s new Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV), built by GM Defense, is actually hiding parts from a truck you can buy at a dealership... Well, sort of.

The ISV is a lightweight, nine-passenger tactical machine designed for rapid deployment and off-road mobility. But underneath that open-air military shell lives the heart of a Chevrolet Colorado ZR2. It’s powered by the same 2.8L Duramax diesel and uses 90% commercial-off-the-shelf parts, including ZR2 axles, DSSV dampers, and locking differentials.

That parts-bin magic makes the ISV easy to service globally, thanks to GM’s supply chain. And it’s tough. We're talking air drops from C-130s, sling loads under Blackhawks, and enough modular options for troop transport, cargo hauling, and more.

While you can’t buy the ISV, it’s a wild reminder that one of America’s most capable off-road rigs has humble Colorado roots. Too bad the civilian Colorado lost its diesel option for 2025, because clearly, the engine was battle-tested.

Developed by GM Defense to meet U.S. Army requirements, the Infantry Squad Vehicle (ISV) allows for advanced tactical mobility.

💥The Battle Over California’s EV Mandate and Diesel Truck Ban!💥

While most people were focused on summer plans, a major policy reversal quietly reshaped the future of trucks in America. On June 12, 2025, former President Donald Trump signed off on three joint resolutions under the Congressional Review Act, effectively nullifying EPA waivers that had allowed California to enforce strict vehicle emissions standards. These rules included the now-infamous EV sales mandate and a ban on new diesel trucks.

The overturned regulations; Advanced Clean Trucks, Advanced Clean Cars II, and the Low NOX Omnibus, required rising percentages of zero-emission vehicle sales, which largely meant electric vehicles. Under Biden’s administration, California received the EPA green light to enforce those mandates. Trump’s action reversed that.

Trump stated the EPA should not grant such waivers unless facing truly “extraordinary” local issues, not broad environmental goals. And the resolutions go further, preventing future waivers that are “substantially the same.”

But California isn't backing down. Hours after the move, Governor Gavin Newsom signed a new Executive Order (N-27-25) pushing for Advanced Clean Cars III and reinforcing the state's long-term commitment to zero-emission vehicles.

So, is the diesel ban officially dead? For now, yes, but California’s already moving to rewrite the rules. And the federal-versus-state battle over emissions is far from over.

Stay tuned. This is just the next chapter.

President Donald Trump put an end to California’s "EV mandate" and "diesel truck ban" by signing a trio of joint resolutions into law.

💥Are Diesel Engines Too Expensive Now?💥

Heavy-duty trucks might seem reasonably priced... Until you spec a diesel. Adding a Power Stroke, Duramax, or Cummins to your Ford, GM, or Ram HD can tack on $10,000 to $13,000 to the sticker price. That’s a huge jump for what many assume is standard in this segment.

Still, that premium gets you serious performance. Diesel engines deliver nearly double the torque of their gas counterparts, significantly higher towing capacities (up to 8,000 pounds more), better fuel economy, and far greater longevity. Think 300,000+ miles with proper maintenance.

Fuel efficiency also makes a difference. While gas HD trucks average 10–15 mpg, diesel can push 17–20 mpg unloaded. That, along with stronger resale value and better engine braking, helps offset the upfront cost over time.

So while the diesel option is a big investment, it remains a smart one... Especially if you're towing, hauling, or plan to keep the truck long-term. Diesel might cost more, but it delivers more, too.

The Power Stroke, Cummins, and Duramax diesel engine upgrades instantly add $10,000 to $13,000 to the MSRPs of HD trucks.

💥2025 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty: Is It Worth the Hype?💥

The 2025 Ram 2500 isn’t a total redesign, but the updates extend well beyond the surface. While it still rides on the same fifth-gen platform introduced in 2019, Ram gave this truck a much-needed refresh, both inside and out.

Visually, you’ll spot the redesigned front grille, new LED lighting, and updated wheel options. Inside, Ram steps it up with larger screens, including a new 14.5-inch center display and an optional 10.25-inch screen for the passenger.

But the biggest changes are under the hood. Ram has done away with its two-diesel strategy, offering one upgraded 6.7L Cummins I-6 rated at 430 hp and 1,075 lb-ft of torque. The new gray iron block reduces noise and vibration, while improved fuel injection and a new turbo make it smoother and more responsive. It tows up to 36,610 lbs gooseneck and 23,000 lbs conventional, no slouch.

Even better, Ram finally ditched the outdated 6-speed in favor of a ZF 8-speed automatic. Shifts are quick and smooth, and it even starts in 2nd gear when unloaded for better drivability. Ram says 0-60 times dropped from 8.0 to 6.9 seconds, and fuel economy saw a modest bump.

Ride quality remains best-in-class thanks to Ram’s exclusive rear coil suspension. Even with HD capability, the 2500 is a smooth daily driver, no rear-axle hop or harshness over bumps.

Our Laramie tester rang in at $82,050, loaded with the Cummins and tech packages. Pricey? Yes. But considering what you’re getting, refinement, power, comfort... It’s tough to beat.

Bottom line: This isn’t a revolution, but it’s the best Ram HD yet.

Explore our review of the 2025 Ram 2500 Heavy Duty, featuring a refined Cummins diesel, new 8-speed ZF transmission, and cutting-edge tech.

🔥Cummins-Powered GMC? Yes, You Heard That Right.🔥

When Jeremy Hartman’s 1999 GMC K2500 rolls up next to you, the visual cues say “classic GM,” but your ears swear it’s a Cummins. And they’re not wrong. Jeremy, owner of Diesel Conversion Specialists in Minnesota, has built a truck that blends GM style with diesel grunt, all without compromising comfort or factory charm.

Originally powered by a 454ci gas engine, the truck now runs a 5.9L 24-valve Cummins. Conventional wisdom says the straight-six wouldn’t fit without major surgery. Jeremy proved otherwise. A 4-inch Tough Country lift gave just enough clearance to keep the mechanical fan he swears by, while avoiding firewall and core support mods.

To tackle frame fitment issues, he used a high-mount A/C kit and GM-compatible accessories, keeping factory features like the tachometer and air conditioning. The factory 4L80 transmission? It’s still there, paired with an adapter plate, SFI-certified flexplate, and a custom torque converter. Custom driveshafts complete the fit.

For cooling, an air-to-water intercooler system snakes beneath the truck, maintaining a stock front-end look and delivering solid performance. Exhaust duties are handled by a tight Diamond Eye setup, giving it that unmistakable diesel tone through a 5-inch chrome tip.

With classic two-tone paint, custom bumpers, and plenty of shop-built details, this isn’t just a fun project... It’s a daily driver and rolling billboard. Jeremy’s build proves that with the right tools and knowledge, your dream swap is more possible than ever.

What do you when diesel is life but your high school truck was a gas K2500? A 24 valve Cummins swap if you are Jeremy Hartman.

🚨The $100K Ford F-250 Is Here, and It’s Insane!💸🔥

Think your dream truck is affordable? Think again. The 2025 Ford F-250 Super Duty might start at under $50K, but if you're building the one you want, you know, the one that turns heads and hauls like a beast, you’re staring down a six-figure price tag.

Let’s break it down: a base XL 2WD with the gas 6.8L is cool and all (hello, steel wheels!), but let’s be real... It’s not the truck you’ve been drooling over. Step up to the Platinum trim, and now we’re talking. That starts at $77,865 and brings the luxury, blacked-out details, gorgeous new interior options, and serious presence.

But you’re not done yet. You’ll want the High-Output 6.7L Power Stroke diesel with 500 horsepower and 1,200 lb-ft of torque (because, of course), that’s another $12,995. Still with us? Good, because here comes the Platinum Plus Package ($6,500): suede, leather, moonroof, onboard power, upfitter switches, and some of the slickest satin finishes Ford’s ever offered.

Still not off-road ready? Tack on the Tremor Off-Road Package ($4,375) with 35s, skid plates, locking diffs, trail modes, and those glorious black tow hooks. Total bill? A whopping $104,225.

Put $10K down and you’re staring at around $1,600/month. Yep, that’s mortgage territory for a truck.

So what’ll it be? Go all-in and roll heavy? Stay humble with a base XL? Or maybe you’ll stick with Old Faithful for another year or two. Either way, the 2025 Super Duty is proof: trucks aren’t just tools anymore... They’re luxury machines with price tags to match.

You have a good job, right? It’s going to take an enormous amount of money to buy the 2025 Ford Super Duty of your dreams.

💥NFL Power Meets Diesel Pulling: Dalton Tucker’s “O-Line” Rig Breaks Onto the Scene💥

When he’s not holding the line for the Indianapolis Colts, Dalton Tucker is chasing torque... Literally! The offensive lineman teamed up with WP Developments to build O-Line, a Cummins-powered pulling truck that’s bringing pro-level muscle to the dirt.

Rather than starting from scratch, Tucker and the WP team fast-tracked the build by scoring a proven chassis out of Pennsylvania. Then came the heart of the beast: a legendary 12-valve Cummins fitted with a cast-iron cylinder head from pulling icon Carl Atley. For WP’s Ethan, who grew up watching Atley compete, it was a full-circle moment.

O-Line made its debut at Ultimate Callout Challenge with a solid 298-foot pass, despite a gear misstep and a timing issue mid-run. Not bad for its first outing. But the best is yet to come.

Next up? Triple turbos. That’s right... WP’s adding two more 107mm snails, bigger injectors, and a new pump to take this thing to the next level.

With Tucker’s passion and WP’s expertise, O-Line isn’t just another pull truck... It’s a diesel freight train with NFL horsepower and something to prove.

WP Developments is building a Cummins-powered truck pulling vehicle for NFL player Dalton Tucker, with plans for a triple-turbo setup.

💥2023 MegaRexx F-250 Super Duty Tremor: Supersized Power & Style💥

MegaRexx Trucks has taken the already-capable 2023 Ford F-250 Tremor and turned it into an off-road monster. Built on a Crew Cab Lariat Ultimate, the truck is powered by Ford’s high-output 6.7L Power Stroke V8 making 500 hp and 1,200 lb-ft of torque, paired with the 10-speed TorqShift transmission.

What sets it apart? Military-spec 46-inch Michelin tires on 20-inch MRAP wheels, supported by Icon and Fox Racing suspension with custom radius arms, upgraded 4.88 gears, and recalibrated electronics.

Body mods include custom steel fenders and bedsides, a tilt-forward hood with nitrogen shocks, and LineX coating throughout for durability. The aggressive Smasher front bumper, bed cage, multiple light bars, and Amp Research steps add both function and style.

Inside, it retains all factory luxuries. Leather seats, SYNC4, panoramic moonroof, B&O audio, Pro Trailer Assist, and wireless tech.

At $179,950, this isn’t just a lifted truck... It’s a complete re-engineering of the F-250 platform, ready for trails, towing, or turning heads at any event!

This 2023 MegaRexx F-250 Super Duty Tremor transforms plain vanilla into an ultimate love-hate flavor explosion.

💥Wait… Chevy made a diesel S-10?!💥

Yep, back in 1983, Chevy dropped a tiny 2.2L Isuzu-sourced diesel into its S-10 compact pickup, and it was as slow as it sounds. Just 58 hp and a 0–60 time of whenever it gets there. 😂

But this wasn’t about speed. It sipped fuel, pulling off 30 mpg on the highway... In a pickup! You could get it with a manual or auto, 4WD with Insta-Trac, and it could tow about 2,000 lbs. It was light (just 2,700 lbs) and could haul up to 1,500 lbs.

The diesel S-10 only lasted until 1985, making it one of the rarest and quirkiest trucks Chevy ever built. If you spot one today, you’ve found a diesel unicorn from a forgotten chapter in GM history. 🛻💨

The year after the Chevy S-10 compact mini truck arrived, a diesel option was introduced. It was an Isuzu-sourced 2.2-liter inline-four.
