One of our favorite birds!

Snowy Egrets have an interesting feeding habit when in deeper water. Not able to wade in the deeper water, they fly over the water dragging their yellow toes across the surface. The action of dragging the feet startles fish. When they swim toward the surface, the egret uses it bill to pluck them from the water. Nature is absolutely marvelous!

The trees of Slope Point - a small patch of land at the southernmost tip of New Zealand’s South Island - are unlike anything else in the world.
The species themselves aren’t too different to those you’d find else where on the island, but in this particular location, the trees all end up growing sideways, looking like dense patches of windswept hair.
Thanks to it lying so far south, Slope Point experiences heavy winds all day, every day. This is because it’s about 4,803 kilometres (2,984 miles) from the South Pole and a whopping 5,140 kilometres (3,193 miles) below the equator.

Our “WHY” Story

Creation Illustrated Ministries, Inc. is a 501 (c) 3 ministry dedicated to sharing the wonders of God's Creation through its leading Bible-based Nature Journal - Creation Illustrated. Seeking all who need to de-stress and restore through biblical nature therapy.

Nature is God’s first book. Romans 1:20 clearly warns, “For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities--his eternal power and divine nature--have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that all are without excuse.” God’s character, design, and plan of salvation are revealed through what He has made, we must search and understand His creation.

Twenty-five years ago we saw a stress-maxed world where families and individuals needed to slow down, draw together, and find rest. By exploring Creation, studying God’s Word, and sharing character-building lesson, we found that souls can behold and be transformed into a new creation in Christ filled with peace, faith, and hope. So with His help we prayerfully launched Creation Illustrated . . . In Nature, In Scripture, and In Living--to restore and inspire a balance of mental, spiritual, and physical enrichment in each edition.

It has been a faith-filled journey, full of blessings, challenges, many answered prayers and miracles!
