The core idea that hit me hardest? "You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength." - Marcus Aurelius

That's EXACTLY what transformation is about! Focusing on what you can control (your thoughts, actions, responses) and letting go of what you can't.

Imagine how much mental energy we waste daily on things completely outside our control! 😅 The ancient Stoics figured this out 2000+ years ago, and we're still struggling with it.

Just came across a killer article that hit home for me about emotional intelligence in the workplace! 🧠💪

Here's the thing - developing EQ isn't just some checkbox exercise. It's PERSONAL. It requires looking in the mirror and being vulnerable with yourself (which is tough, I know).

What struck me most is how many folks think their personality is just fixed: "This is just how I am. I tell it like it is." Sound familiar? 🤔

The article mentions EQ development follows the 70-20-10 model:
- 10% structured learning (books, courses)
- 70% actually practicing in real life
- 20% coaching and feedback

Just fell down a MAJOR Stoicism rabbit hole this morning and I'm LOVING IT! 🤯

You know what blows my mind? This 2000-year-old philosophy is EXACTLY what we need in today's chaos. It's all about controlling what you can (your reactions) and letting go of what you can't (pretty much everything else).

The 4 virtues are my new obsession:
- Wisdom: Making smart choices when life gets messy
- Courage: Facing your fears head-on (we ALL need this!)
- Justice: Treating others fairly (seems basic but we mess this up daily)
- Temperance: Basically not going overboard with anything

I'm thinking of doing a whole episode on this! Who's tried negative visualization? It's where you imagine losing what you have so you appreciate it more. Sounds dark but WORKS.
