“Bummed to share that I’ll be missing the upcoming rounds of pro motocross,” Cooper Webb wrote on social media. “As you can see in the second photo (on his Instagram), I caught my foot in a rut and pulled out of the second qualifier early at RedBud. I was in pain with my knee, but hopeful it was just a stinger, and finished the day. The good news is the damage isn’t too bad. I’ll go in for a quick procedure Monday and should be back on the bike in around a month.”

“Of course, we never thought we would be on the other end with receiving so much from others, but to see all the love and support we have been given, it has just been so overwhelming and very emotional at times,” Ashley Broom said. “It just fills my heart so much when I get to see that big smile on Jackson’s face when he gets something in the mail addressed to him. I think he realizes he is one special boy.”

“The Town of Beaufort has the chance to borrow locally up to $1.2 million at a very favorable interest rate of 3.9% and utilize those funds to install a fuel tank. That fuel tank would then be used by our third party vendor to sell and distribute fuel to the new F3 Marina group to boaters that would come into the Town of Beaufort in 2026,” Town Manager Matt Zapp explained.

“Anything above that level is considered marijuana,” Carteret County Sheriff Asa Buck said. “Many products currently being sold in many of these stores have THC content in excess of the levels established by the law. Currently, there is no requirement that these items be tested or certified prior to being offered for sale in retail establishments. The State of NC needs to create a regulatory system for these products along the lines of what they did with v**e products.”

“Most of these students already enjoy baking. What we try to do is take it to a higher level for them, like baking different types of breads, different types of cupcakes,” chef Rochelle Wert, an instructor at CCC and for the camp, said. “I hope that every one of them can share what they create with their families and friends and show what they are capable of doing.”

“All too often, sharks are portrayed as mindless monsters. Shark Week is meant to guide people away from this negative stereotype by showcasing research, shark diversity, and sharks' role in ocean health,” said Sarah Wright, NCAPKS educator. “Many factors have caused shark populations to decline worldwide. We want to encourage our guests and others to understand what’s happening, and we’ll offer information and resources that they can use to help the many species that need it.”
