Why Better Way Designs?
My Name is Laura Kulp and I am a Freedom Director with Better Way Designs. I specialize in marketing beautiful handcrafted products. We partner with Freedom Businesses who hire women who have been rescued from Human trafficking. Not only do they offer these women dignified jobs that pay a fair wage but they also offer education, counseling, health care and more.
My goal is to inspire women around the world. Those women are the women who make our products and the team members who have joined me in spreading the word. These women are also the amazing hosts who have opened their homes to their friends to share this mission. It’s been my goal to be an inspiration to all of these women. The truth is these women have all inspired me. These women keep me going, they stretch me out of my comfort zone. I’ve grown in so many ways because of my connections with all of these women. Together we are making a difference.

In February 2016 I attended my first Better Way Event at my friend’s house. She had just become a Freedom Fighter for Better Way and I was curious to see what it was about.
Knowing it was a Direct Selling company I was pretty closed to the idea of getting involved. After all I had been in other Direct Sales Companies and thought I had learned all I needed to know about them and me.
I did not like selling. I did not like asking, for parties or for sales. It was not my thing and I had no intentions of ever getting involved in a company like that again.
I left my friend’s event promising to call her with my order that evening. In addition I would tell my sister about it. I was pretty sure she would sign up. I, however, would not be joining.
As I walked out the door I had to ask myself, “Is God wanting me to get out of my comfort zone?” “Would if I could make a difference for even one woman? “In that moment I knew I had to get involved and step out of my comfort zone.
As Brene Brown says, “You can choose comfort or courage, but not both at the same time.”
