Christmas books and free shipping! I've come back from retirement because there are some amazing new Christmas titles AND Usborne is offering free shipping on orders over $100 until midnight on November 7. If you are local to me and would like to just combine your order with mine, you'll get free shipping regardless. I'm going to be highlighting some of the books I'm interested in for my girls all week.

My re-launch party was so successful (thanks to all who attended) that I was able to get all of these books for free or half off (plus a rain check on a set of history books that went out of stock as they were shipping). I’m so excited to use these with the girls and I’ll be featuring a few a week to let you know how we like them.

If you find yourself in need of a book or would like to know if any of the ones that were out of stock have come back in, I’m happy to help.

We are on a last summer hurrah trip but when I return, I will be highlighting some of our new books. In the meantime, if you find yourself wondering about one of the books that was out of stock when you looked last time, let me know and I can check on when it is expected back. Quite a few came back in stock last weekend or are expected this weekend, such as the Wild Weather lift a flap book.

I'm back!! I love these books too much to stay away. I'm in the process of figuring out how I want to structure everything since I'm not a big party person but if you are interested in Usborne books, I will be actively selling them for the foreseeable future, so let me know how I can help. The Muddle and Match books are proving to be a great travel activity for my 19-month old as we return to Utah from California.

I got one of these finger trail books (the farm) as part of my sign up package when I became a consultant. I honestly didn't think they'd be that interesting but my 18-month old loves it! I got it when she was 13 months old and I think babies as young as 9-months would probably really enjoy them.

My girls love these Muddle and Match books. They will spend 30 minutes making new stories and then expanding on them as they play together. We have two and will most likely get the others for Christmas. They are great for keeping them happily engaged in the car.

Happy Halloween! I've been absent for a while as I dug into a new homeschool year but now that the holidays are upon us, I'm thinking I may do a Christmas book party in about 10 days. Any one interested? It would be super low-key and what parent doesn't love having their kids get great books for Christmas? Comment below if you'd like to be invited to an online event or if you'd rather just get a link and look on your own for a few days.

As scary as it is to give kids access to messy art supplies, it really is necessary for them to have frequent practice. My girls absolutely love stickers so I stock up at the dollar store or the JoAnn's discount aisle. Look for simple shapes, not a lot of curves or skinny parts that will tear and frustrate them.

I was a huge reader growing up and I really want my girls to be as well. My second daughter keeps asking when she can be in a book club like me so we are starting one with some of our neighbors. We will read the book at home and then come together to do some related activities a couple times a month. They are pretty excited. Here are some other good tips for helping the kids in your lives love reading.
