Did you know that Lehman High School in The Bronx has never played a home football game because its field is 20 yards too short for regulation games? Years ago the DOE granted the funds to overhaul their athletic complex and, believe it or not, when the work is done the field will remain 20 yards short of full size. That means that there will still be no such thing as a home football, soccer or lacrosse game.
The renovation of a multipurpose athletic complex at a Bronx high school is set to leave hard feelings and a field 20 yards short of regulation.

The Bronx is...BREWING!! Steve Nallen, whose roots in the borough go back six generations, started The Jonas Bronck's Beer Co. which is named after the 17th century settler who gave the borough its name. The company is 100% Bronx owned and operated and this summer will offer a wheat beer, Woodlawn Weisse, and an India pale ale, Pelham Bay IPA. Grab a beer and toast to Bronx pride!!
The inspiration for Steve Nallen’s new Bronx-based beer brand came from a Swede who’s been dead for nearly four centuries.
