Barbara Jean Langford Yarbrough, age 89, of Huffman, Texas, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025. Born on Nov. 25, 1935, in Webster, Texas, Barbara was the beloved daughter of Glen Langford and Bessy Knighton.

For the past 58 years, Barbara called Huffman home, where she and her late husband of 50 years, Glen Yarbrough, built a life rooted in family, service, and community. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother whose warmth, kindness, and strength touched the lives of many.

At approximately 1005 on 7/29/25, your DVFD was dispatched to the area of CR 4882 @ CR 48822 for a vehicle fire. E861 arrived on scene and found fire coming from the engine bay. Crews quickly extinguished the fire and all units returned to service.

Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Troopers are investigating a fatality crash on FM 92, near Jim Burns Road, that occurred Friday, July 25, 2025, in Hardin County.

The preliminary crash investigation indicates that at approximately 11:35 p.m., an 18-wheeler was traveling south on FM 92 and struck a utility vehicle that reportedly pulled out from Jim Burns Road in front of the 18-wheeler.
