PLANNING NOTE: Due to HVAC work at Cyrenius H. Booth Library, all children's programs have been canceled until further notice.
In addition, "Timeless Newtown" chapter discussions will move to Newtown Senior Center, and the August 24 Mahjong & Mimosas fundrasier is moving to Newtown Community Center. Additional updates are expected.
The approaching work will have a significant effect on upcoming programs. We are in the process of updating calendar listings for programs that will be canceled or moved due to the planned work at 25 Main Street.
Reporter Sam Cross is working on a story about the HVAC work for next week's paper and online.
Out of an abundance of caution, we will be pausing all children’s programs temporarily while HVAC work is underway at the library. The safety and comfort of our youngest patrons is our top priority. We look forward to resuming programs as soon as possible.
The Children's Room remains open for all borrower services at this time.
Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time.
