Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard oral arguments over a Trump administration order that would deny automatic U.S. to children born on American soil to undocumented immigrant parents and others in the country temporarily.

“Our intention isn’t to come to this country and have kids, maybe that comes after,” said Maya, an undocumented immigrant from Mexico City. “Those of us who migrate, we come with the intention of a better life. Citizenship for kids of undocumented parents is a right, It shouldn’t matter what political opinions people have.”

Across the country, officials are developing plans to protect students and their families from immigration enforcement since the Trump administration rescinded guidelines that prevented immigration arrests in and around “sensitive” locations, including schools.

“We are really clear about schools’ obligations to protect students and their information, because this is a strong component of protecting students’ education information at the heart of it as well,” said Russell Johnston, the Acting Commissioner of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Roundhead Brewing Company appears in the local craft beer scenes as the first Latino-owned brewery in Massachusetts. Since its founding in 2022, the brewery has brought a Latin twist to beer and promotes a sense of community.

“We wanted to have a relationship that was with people in the door,” said Co-Owner Craig Panzer. “Our mission is cerveza que reĂșine — beer that brings people together.
A beer is a starting place to sit at the table and enjoy time together.”
