We have had 5 animals abandoned in our parking lot over the last 3 weeks.

If you or someone you know are facing hardship and struggling to keep a furry companion in the family, please reach out to learn more about resources that could help.
From crowdfunding sites like waggle.org for Veterinarian bills, food pantries like the one at our shelter, walk in clinic with free or low-cost vaccines a Big Lake Community Animal clinic or temporary fostering options at home-to-hone.org, there are a lot of options to exhaust before surrendering to a shelter.
If it does reach that point, please, do not leave your pet alone in a parking lot with no information.
We can help them better if we know what you know about them. Their name, their medical history, their favorite snack...the more we know the less we have to guess.

Today is National Radio Day!!!!!

It celebrates arguably one of humanity's greatest inventions. It didn't all come together until the late 1800s and no one single person can be credited with bringing radio to life. Its first mission was to communicate military messages, but that later evolved and in 1906 the first radio broadcast including music solely for entertainment hit the airwaves. Bona fide radio stations made their debut in the '20s and the rest - as they say - is history. Also of note today, it's National Bacon Lovers Day and National Chocolate Pecan Pie Day.
