A Day in the Life of Peculiar Finds – Sat, April 18th
Back at it • Paperweight train • Garage chaos
Good morning, friends.
Today is Saturday, April 18th… and it has been about a month since I’ve done one of these.
So we’re getting back into it.
I actually really enjoy doing these posts, so I’m going to try to get back into the daily habit again. We’ll see how that goes… but we’re starting fresh today.
This morning I’m heading to an auction at 10 a.m. there’s a bunch of jewelry there, so you already know I’m not missing that.
Then I’ll come back home and get back to work because tonight I’m in the paperweight train at 6 p.m. CST, and I still do not have all of my paperweights loaded yet.
Yesterday turned into a full-on garage reorganization day.
And when I say that… I mean I moved everything.
My goal was to get my vehicle into the garage, and I did it… but let’s just say it was a tight fit. Like… “climb out Dukes of Hazzard style through the window” kind of tight fit.
So yes… that might be a sign that I have a little bit too much inventory in there.
Just a touch.
I also had to move my whole shipping setup around because that was out in the garage too… tables, supplies, everything. So now some inventory has made its way into the house just to make space.
End result?
My back is sore. My garage is full. And somehow I still found more paperweights while digging through boxes.
So if you thought I had a lot before… surprise. I have even more.
Speaking of which, I’ve started putting some $10 paperweights in the buy now, so make sure you go check those out if you’re looking for a deal. I’ll be adding more as I keep digging through everything.
Also… I would just like to point out that thanks to all of my hard work yesterday…
You’re welcome to those who live in my county.
We did not get hail or a tornado here. Clearly my garage efforts kept the storm away. I’m taking full credit.
Now, north of here wasn’t quite as lucky. My hometown area (around Peculiar) did get hit with a tornado last night. From what I’ve seen so far, it looks like mostly roof and siding damage, and thankfully no injuries reported.
And I do want to say, the National Weather Service absolutely nailed it.
They gave people plenty of warning, events were getting canceled ahead of time, and people were prepared. That stuff matters. That’s what saves lives out here in the Midwest during storm season.
So credit where credit is due.
Alright, so game plan for today:
• Auction at 10 a.m. (go find some jewelry treasures)
• Back home to finish loading paperweights
• Paperweight train tonight at 6 p.m. Central
• Keep adding more deals to the buy now
It’s going to be a busy one… but a good one.
Let’s see what kind of treasures we can find today.
💙💜💛💚❤️
