I’m honored to have mastered this album for this special anniversary release on vinyl. Jeremy Pinnell Music is one if the earliest sessions I ever did at the first studio I worked at. We were both very young, but he already had a great batch of songs! Feels like even this many years in, he’s just getting started!

Ten years ago SofaBurn was fortunate enough to release Jeremy Pinnell Music’s first record ‘OH/KY,’ launching a career and relationship that has exceeded any of our wildest dreams. The songs on ‘OH/KY’ were snapshots of a life lived hard, of one being pieced back together. They speak for themselves, and hit home. They continue to be a lasting example of incredible craftsmanship, as well as continuing to touch the lives of all who listen. Ten years, two more records, and thousands of miles later, Jeremy is still going strong, and we couldn’t be more excited to announce that for the first time ever ‘OH/KY’ will be released as a standalone LP. Originally recorded by Brandon Weaver at Iron Wing Studios and mastered for vinyl from the original mixes by Mike Montgomery at Candyland Recording Studio, this new pressing features re-worked artwork by Evangeline Bauerle, unseen photos from Michael Wilson, and brand-new liner notes from Jeremy himself. Working with Mike has been an amazing experience and we’re very lucky to be working towards a full album with him.
