Act Now Media, Inc. is currently 182 subscribers away from being monetized on YouTube.

We have the watch hours, just not the 1,000 subscribers needed.

Hit subscribe. Don’t overthink it.

It costs nothing and it helps us fund lawsuits, FOIL costs, and travel costs.

We are back at the Town of Evans, NY to submit a foil regarding a lawsuit settlement between the town and their previous supervisor.

The first video can be found here:

https://youtu.be/GHckUT-AsFI

While NYS Committee on Open Government opinions, as well as court filings have ruled that the settlement amount and its information is subject to FOIL our first request was denied.

Upon consulting with legal counsel, we determined the denial was wrong.

We are resubmitting in hopes that Evans does the right thing this time.

We have a monthly matching donor for December!

Proud to announce the official launch of Act Now Media, Inc., an independent nonprofit investigative journalism organization.

We’re starting strong with a $1,000 matching donation, which means every dollar given right now is matched dollar for dollar.

If you believe government should be accountable, transparency isn’t optional, and journalism should challenge power, this is how you support the work.

Donate. Double your impact. Help fund real accountability.

One of the weirdest things I’ve seen covering budgets and tax increases in Western New York is the WWE-style fight that always breaks out.

The supervisor proposes an $X million budget increase and an 8% tax hike. Then the board huddles up, comes back out, and proudly announces:

“After fighting tooth and nail, we got it down to only a 5% increase. Look how responsible we are.”

Let me put that in layman terms.

If someone walked up to you and said, “I’m going to punch you in the face eight times,” and a group met behind closed doors and came back saying, “Good news! We talked him down to five punches,”

you are still getting punched in the face, and taking a loss.

Five face punches is not a victory. It’s getting punched in the face with better marketing.

Monday December 8, 2025 Lewiston, NY held a public meeting on a moratorium on special use permits. The issue? Only one business has applied for this type of permit. Niagara Pumpkin Farm feels unfairly targeted by the town, and thinks it’s more personal than business.

Act Now Media, Inc. covered the hearing, and the video is in the comments.

Full coverage coming soon.

Monday, I was able to attend the Town of Lewistons “public hearing” on a moratorium of special use permits.

I’ll keep this short, full video and comments later.

I asked one question first. How many special use permits do you get?

Their answer. One. The Niagara Pumpkin Farm.

A lot of time and effort, and taxpayer money is being wasted trying to target one single family.

Going back to Lewiston tonight to fight for the Niagara Pumpkin Farm.

The town says they need a “special use permit” to operate.

The business applies for the permit.

The town says “let’s do a hearing to temporarily stop these permits”

lol what

If you remember earlier this year, the town attempted to sue the family to stop them from operating after they met the deadlines to apply for a special use permit.

The lawsuit was dropped and the business was allowed to operate with just a facility walkthrough after some redress and media coverage.

Did they just try to buy time, and think the people are no longer watching?

Here is the footage pulled from my camera of the 11/20/2025 hearing in Clay, NY where the pepper spray was deployed. The public hearing was held in regard to eminent domain for 91 year old Azalia King. The speaker was not charged with any crime according to the OCSO.

Video story in comments.

In Clay, NY, I am listening to and recording the public hearing as the Onondaga County IDA is supposed to listen to the public's opinion on their attempt to seize a 91-year-old woman's home via eminent domain.

The IDA wasn't there, but the room was filled with supporters of the homeowner.

They did, however, send lawyers.
