Reviewer-The Blog began in April 2 2015 as a blog completely dedicated to reviewing movies. Many a time people blindly click on a movie without referring to any review which describes it as good or bad, and thus end up wasting their money on a (sometimes) worthless movie. The main initiative of the blog is to provide a completely spoiler-free, comprehensive review that will explain why a person sh

ould watch or not watch a particular movie. Film criticism is one of the easiest ways of appreciation to movies and Reviewer-The Blog is totally committed to that job.

Chris McKay's 'The Tomorrow War' is a film that doesn't offer anything new in the science-fiction, alien invasion genre. Period. The film's generic plot would make us think- has all the fun been drained out of this genre or have we grown too tired of it? It's either that, or it's just the makers' hesitation to attempt something out of the box, and instead, rip off thematic elements from classics just to audaciously display its colossal production values. Apart from being a mere popcorn-popping watch, this film, headed by a capable Chris Pratt, doesn't go anywhere beyond that.

Sara'S biggest advantage is its tightly packed script. Neither does it become a sermon nor does it lack conviction. The makers have delivered a beautifully shot feel-good, fresh entertainer that daringly discusses a relatively new topic to the cinematic storytelling arena. Watch the film for its template-breaking narrative and a little bit of fun.

Sara'S biggest advantage is its tightly packed script. Neither does it become a sermon nor does it lack conviction. The makers have delivered a beautifully shot feel-good, fresh entertainer that daringly discusses a relatively new topic to the cinematic storytelling arena. is also backed by some catchy music and an art direction that satisfyingly accentuates the professionally executed camerawork. Again, watch the film for its template-breaking narrative and a little bit of fun.

What We Do In The Shadows (2014)

If you have ever wanted to break away from the typecast bloodsucking, vicious, diabolic, merciless world of vampires and have a little bit of fun with the genre, horror indie flick 'What We Do In The Shadows' is the movie for you. Directed by Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi (who would later direct and ), the film is one of the best works in the horror and mockumentary genres. It is the clever writing and the insanely funny comic timing that works for ' ', as the performances by the leads provide the light-heartedness and levity to the film. The directors go nuts with the premise and the resources they have in hand, and what we get is film that is both laugh-cracking and a little spine-chilling as well.

Tanu Balak's directorial debut succeeds in orchestrating its technical aspects and scripting an ambitious investigative plot. 'Cold Case' strives to be a cross-genre procedural thriller. What we get is a one-time watchable investigative-cum-supernatural story that is neither spooky nor gripping and doesn't quite make much of an impact. But it's not all bad; the plot makes you want to dig in more, even with its weakly-written protagonists.

By lacing 'A Quiet Place Part II' with well-orchestrated cinematography and immersive sound work, John Krasinski proves his cinematic mettle yet again with his extraterrestrial horror flick. It isn't just about the horrors and jump-scares; upgrades to a level of anxiety-inducing suspenseful storytelling.

Reviewer Reccos #14:

Princess Mononoke (1997)

From the visionary and creative mind of animation legend Hayao Miyazaki, is a staple watch for both enthusiasts of the animated cinema genre and die-hard fans of aesthetic storytelling. 'Princess Mononoke' narrates the story of an inter-species conflict, populated by supernatural elements, in the grandest of ways. The visually rich film is the zenith of the legacy of Studio Ghibli, which has produced some of world cinema's finest animated tales. It is indubitably a gripping cinematic experience. For starters, it could serve as an entry point to the vast library of films produced from the minds that made 'Spirited Away' and 'My Neighbor Totoro'.
