This LP is a compilation of Sonny's great original songs recorded over the last few years by several different sound engineers (including myself) with a variety of players in both studio and live settings. I am proud to announce an exciting new release on the Catawba Records label, "Slide Tracks", by Curt Baker. This album is Curt's second on the Catawba Records label. This EP release features Curt Baker doing awesome solo arrangements of originals and covers as well as an upbeat song with his co-performers, Carrington Kay, aka Rob & Kristen Smith, and an excerpted recording of one of Curt's lessons with his mentor and teacher, Mike Auldridge. Currently the CD is available at Curt's gigs with Carrington Kay, at The Floyd Country Store, and by the end of the month will be available on CDBaby.com.

Catawba Records is proud to announce our newest CD release, “If I Call You Mama”, A Tribute to Luke Jordan! Luke Jordan, bluesman from Lynchburg, VA recorded his original songs for the Victor Record Company in 1927 and 1929. As a way of paying tribute to this great Virginia bluesman, Jack Roy (Producer) and the Sedalia Blues Society sponsored this project. Much thanks to Jack and Sedalia Blues Society for their hard work in making this album a reality and donating all proceeds to charities! It will be available for sale first at the Blues Festival at Sedalia this weekend. Stay tuned for future locations to purchase and/or download this CD.

Thanks to the many local blues artists, studios and blues fans that came together to make this project and these covers as dynamic and creative as the artists themselves! The album features Johnny Wade (Centered Sound Studio), Jon Spear Band (Ravensworth Studio), Root2Music (Bearwallow Gap Studio), Eli Cook (Cat Room Studios), Waverly Milor (Centered Sound Studio), Poorhouse Road Band (Catawba Sound Studio), Vanilla Grits (Pocket Change Studios), Lisa Miller (Ravensworth Studio), Jumpstreet (field recording by Worth Proffitt), Strange Attractors (S*M Studios).

In addition they will have a very special guest and friend, Phil Norman, opening the show!

Hound Dog Hill is a six piece neo-traditional string band from the beautiful Shenandoah Valley in Virginia. Founded in 2003 by a young banjo player and singer named Cutch Tuttle, these boys make music the old time way, using all acoustic instruments and drawing influence from the Valley's rich musical heritage. In the six years they have been playing together, Hound Dog Hill has evolved into a high energy old time string band that plays the kind of music rarely heard today. Until they have it available to purchase online, contact band members to get a copy of this great CD.

I am proud to announce the release of the newest CD by Eastern Divide, on the Catawba Records label, "Still Traveling". This bluegrass band consists of Mike King, Joe Francisco, Zeke Francisco, Chet Roden, and Tim Chaney. This band has steadily improved over the years and placed third in the battle of the bands this year at the New Castle Bluegrass Festival! I am proud to announce the newest CD release on the Catawba Records label, "Feels Like Home To Me" by Charlotte Ivy. This is the first album by singer/songwriter, Charlotte Ivy, and is a great collection of her all original songs.

"Reminiscent of Old Country style, Charlotte's CD combines her love of both bluegrass and country. Mike Lee joins Charlotte in harmony and musical and songwriting talent, together creating songs of heart and home!"
