NC Health News is a great nonprofit organization whose people work hard to communicate the realities of the health care landscape to its audience -- which, deservedly, is growing! Here's their latest about the state of kids' health in North Carolina.

The state dropped one spot to rank No. 34 in the national 2025 KIDS COUNT Data Book, which tracks 16 indicators of child well-being.

While book editing isn't my day-to-day, I do a fair bit of it. It exercises a different part of my brain, which is fun. Sometimes it feels monumentally overwhelming, but when it doesn't, it's fun.

The latest issue of Nashville Interiors Magazine dropped recently! Fun part of copy editing/proofing for NI -- I do web searches of all the fancy brand names and high-end companies. So for a few weeks my algorithm serves me up some ridiculously luxurious advertising!

I've been quiet around here, and, truthfully, managing life is hard. But school is out, high school baseball season is over and I feel like I can breathe better now. (I just sorted about nine loads of clothes and towels to wash, so there's that.)

SO.

What I'm going to do here is post links to projects I've had a hand in -- stories, magazines, books, podcasts, videos, social media, etc. Along with the occasional grammarian rant.
