Day 1: Arrival + Drive to Vík
Land in Keflavík, grab your rental, and head to Vík (2.5 hrs). Settle into Hotel Vík—close to grocery & brewpub.
🛏 Overnight in Vík
Day 2: Black Sand Beach & Dyrhólaey
Explore Reynisfjara’s black sand beach, basalt columns, and caves. Visit Dyrhólaey for lighthouse views.
🛏 Overnight in Vík
Day 3: Glacier Walk
Take a family glacier walk on Sólheimajökull (ages 8+). Ice gear + epic fun. Relax the rest of the day.

Day 4: Waterfalls + Golden Circle
Visit Skógafoss & Seljalandsfoss (walk behind it!). Continue to Hotel Gullfoss near the Golden Circle.

Day 5: Geysir + Gullfoss
See Strokkur erupt at the Geysir area, then visit mighty Gullfoss. Optional hot spring soak.

Day 6: Leisure / Explore
Relax or revisit Golden Circle sights (like Þingvellir). A slower day before the long drive east.

Day 7: To Vatnajökull
Drive toward the southeast. Stop at Fjaðrárgljúfur Canyon or Skaftafell for hikes with glacier views.
🛏 Overnight near Vatnajökull
Day 8: Glacier Lagoon + Diamond Beach
Watch icebergs at Jökulsárlón (boat tours if weather allows). Walk Diamond Beach’s glittering black sands.
🛏 Overnight in Höfn region
Day 9: East Fjords
Take your time winding through scenic fjords. Stop at Petra’s Stone Museum or fishing villages.
🛏 Overnight in Egilsstaðir or Seyðisfjörður
Day 10: Back to Reykjavík
Return via scenic route or fly from Egilsstaðir. Flight home full of glacier stories & waterfall memories.

Did you know that Bali is only a 3 hour flight from Australia?! 🤯When we found this out (and that we needed to go on a visa run) we had to take advantage of the incredible opportunity and make a trip to Oz. ✈️

And we are so glad we did! We would have never know how beautiful Western Australia is. We had the absolute best "vacation" last week and we cannot wait to explore more of this beautiful country. 😍

We've spent the last 6 weeks living as in Bali and love our lifestyle here. Some recent events:
1. Give back day: cleaning up the Mangrove Forest. ♻️
2. Remote work life: how amazing is this setup?!
3&4. We paid a visit to Unicorn Cafe 🦄 and don't regret it.
5. Big Garden Corner for birthday celebrations. 🎉
6. Taco Tuesday (but the girls obviously wanted pizza instead).
7. It was Election Day, so no school, we went to a kids cafe where they had various Valentine's Day activities. 🩷
8. Sunset at our apartment here in Bali. 😍
9. We found a brewery!

Feeling extra grateful that we’ve been living, learning and working in Bali 🇮🇩 for a month now! 😍 Both our daughters are enrolled at the education center. After a couple months of living in Indonesia, we’ll be back to Syros, Greece - where we’ll finish the school year! 🇬🇷
