🌅 Flying high above Lake McMurtry in Stillwater, OK — blue skies...blue water, the serenity of the landscape… just another beautiful Oklahoma treasure I discovered.

Sometimes you have to see from above to really appreciate the view. Who else is craving an escape here? They have primitive camping as well as trailer hookups here. Also plenty of hiking/walking trails including mountain bike trails.

This is an image I captured back in June during an early morning rain storm. The clouds were dark but the sun came out just enough to shine a "spotlight" on downtown Oklahoma City.

A geo referenced ortho map/3D model of a local golf course using a sUAV with RTK for a high level of precision and reliability in measurements. This particular data set has gsd (Ground Sample Distance) of 2.7 cm/inch which gives excellent detail throughout the map. The ortho.geotiff can be imported into a GIS application like ArcGis and QGIS for project/development planning etc. The 3D model can be imported into Autocad Civil 3D or similar.

I have included a short video showing a rough 3D model of this golf course as well as a low resolution (In order to post on FB) geo referenced ortho map and a DEM (Digital Elevation Model) of the area as well.

For the past 2 years Aerial Perceptions has been providing The University of Oklahoma updated topographical imagery of the main campus for their utilities and safety departments. This particular data was captured using drones outfitted with RTK (real-time kinematic positioning) along with ground control points measured with an RTK base station. The utilization of rtk allows for sub inch accuracy which is critical for development and future planning for campus projects and repairs. These area flight routes are saved and can be flown over and over providing the University with updated imagery of the main campus.

This particular topographical imagery consists of over 11,000 images with a GSD (Ground Sampling Distance) of 2.75 cm/px that were then processed using photogrammetry software which can then be imported into a GIS application.
