The reggae and dancehall community is grieving the loss of Gary Henderson, better known as

🙏🇯🇲 Nardo Ranks 🇯🇲🙏

Nardo Ranks has transitioned, leaving a legacy etched in the hearts of fans and music lovers worldwide.

Rising to fame in 1992, Nardo Ranks made history with his daring hit "Dem A Bleach," a direct response to Buju Banton’s "Love Mi Browning." Produced by the iconic duo Sly and Robbie, the track dominated the RJR Top 40 chart for six weeks, cementing his place as a dancehall pioneer.

Born and raised in Dunkirk, East Kingston, Jamaica, Nardo began his journey as a selector for the Cave Man Hi-Power sound system in 1985. His passion for music catapulted him to international fame. In 1993, he signed with Profile Records, releasing the acclaimed album "Rough Nardo." Its standout single, "Burrup," peaked at #16 on Billboard’s Dance Music Maxi-Singles Sales Chart, showcasing his global influence.

Beyond music, Nardo Ranks ventured into acting, featuring in independent films such as "Jamaican Mafia" and "Jump Off." He never stopped creating, delivering hits like "Who Does That," "Mek Yuh Body Bounce," and "Out There" featuring Flashmo. His work resonated deeply, blending street narratives with Jamaican culture, touching souls far and wide.

Nardo Ranks was more than an artist—he was a voice of the streets, a cultural ambassador, and a storyteller who bridged gaps through music.

As we celebrate his life, we honor the indelible mark he left on reggae and dancehall. His beats and lyrics will forever echo, inspiring generations to come.
