🐔 MY LITTLE MOWING CREW NEVER MISSES A SHIFT! 😂🌱

The chickens love following me around while I mow early in the morning. I try to get the mowing and pretty much everything outside done before 10 AM because it gets HOT and humid here! 🥵☀️

Once that heat kicks in, I’m ready to head back inside. 😂🐔

🍌 CAN THESE BANANA SPROUTS GROW FAST ENOUGH? 🌱

I have a few banana sprouts to plant today! The ones that popped up abundantly in early spring were unfortunately eaten by the goats, so I’m leaving those alone for now. 😅

Hopefully these little ones have enough time to mature and produce bananas before the winter freeze! 🍌🤞🌱

I LOOKED AWAY… AND THE CHICKENS FOUND THE GARDEN! 🐔😂

One day, my chickens got out and decided to forage for themselves. They found my upo (bottle gourd) and managed to eat THREE of the ones growing close to the ground! 😂

I wasn’t too upset, though—I usually give them the ones that are too mature for me to cook anyway. 🥬🐔

🍄👀 THESE MUSHROOMS ARE POPPING UP EVERYWHERE!

They’re suddenly sprouting all over the backyard! 😳🍄 The chickens aren’t touching them, so maybe they know something I don’t! 😂🐔

I’m definitely not taking any chances though
just admiring them from a distance.

🥭🌱 I FOUND A MANGO SEEDLING HIDING IN THE PERFECT SPOT! 😍

I usually toss watermelon rinds, mango and avocado seeds behind the house for the chickens, hoping something will sprout.

I’ve had a few grow, but winter freezes or summer heat usually takes them out. This little mango was growing right next to the A/C unit, which may have protected it! 🤞🥭

I’m potting it up and hoping it makes it! 🌱
