Great week at Fort Peck and happy to come away with a 7th-place finish. Big thanks to Jerry Ryerson for being my partner and trusting me to run his Yar-Craft 219 TFX all over Fort Peck as we worked through our game plan and made the runs to our spots.

Practice started off strong with several fish over 30 inches, but the bite got tougher as the week went on. With one practice day left, we stayed off our best areas and spent the day looking for fresh water that could produce during the tournament.

Day 1, we covered a lot of water and put together 54 pounds. Day 2 was a grind with the heat and calm conditions, but we managed another five-fish limit for 48 pounds to finish with 102.33 pounds, good for 7th place.

Most of our fish came on a 1/4 oz VMC Redline jig tipped with a nightcrawler.

Big thanks to Jayden Wendel Fishing, Beau Schilling and everyone else who helped make the week a success. Fort Peck is an incredible fishery, and I can't wait to get back.

Teamed up with my dad this weekend and brought home 2nd at the Barnes County Wildlife Federation tournament on my home lake.

Prefishing was pretty wild, with multiple days over 25 pounds, but in classic tournament fashion, a cold front moved through and shut the fish off. Grinded out five bites each day and made it work.

Brought some of the boys out to fish this one and we swept the podium. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

Taking a week off, then it's off to Winnie. Excited to fish some new lakes over the next few weeks and see what happens.

A lot of lessons learned along the way, and already looking forward to the next one.

Today was a day that Jayden Wendel and I will never forget. What an incredible body of water this place is. We ended the day with 5 fish measuring 30.75”, 30.25”, 30.25”, 30.25”, and 29.75”, which was good enough for a 2nd-place finish.

The next couple of months are going to be busy, but very excited for what’s ahead. Hopefully, we can keep this hot streak going. Days like today are a reminder of why we love doing this.

The Crawler King himself, Jayden Wendel, and i are going out tomorrow for the Mtt fishing on the St. Louis River/Lake Superior tomorrow. I had one windy day to figure this insane body of water out. Jayden fished the AIM National Championship and had an impressive 3rd-place finish. It’s always fun to have two guys who don’t net many fish trying to get some big fish topside. It should be a great time.

What a weekend on Big Stone Lake fishing the Minnesota Tournament Trail with my dad. My second time ever on Big Stone and it did not disappoint.

If you've never fished Big Stone, the weeds run from shore to shore and grow halfway up the water column. With the lake being so clear, finding fish in the middle of the day is a real puzzle. My practice plan was simple: find them up shallow after dark, then find where they pushed out over the weeds in deeper water during the day.

Day 1 my first spot came up empty and I burned a few hours relocating. Moved to my second spot and within an hour I had my 5. I made the call to leave fish there and save them for Day 2. Caught a 25" and 28" to upgrade and ended the day in 3rd with 28 pounds.

Day 2 I went right back. Three hours of waiting before they finally came out of the weeds, then about an hour bite window to catch my 5. Wind died, fish tucked back in, and I couldn't find an upgrade. We headed in hoping to hold 3rd. Turns out the top Day 1 guys struggled and we had done enough to take the win. The key was reading my Garmin livescope. Fish were there every time I looked. Knowing which marks were walleye made all the difference.

First MTT win of the year. Big Stone, we will be back. 🏆🎣
