This year, Mosaic Audio is celebrating a 2026 milestone: the 10 year anniversary of Mosaic Audio under Amy Rubinate's leadership. Amy bought Mosaic in January of 2016, and since then, we've recorded/produced over 4,000 books for major publishers. In that time, we expanded to 6 commercial studios in Los Angeles and San Francisco.

We're so grateful for everything we have been able to accomplish with this amazing community. We are awed by the dedication of our incredible engineering and post production teams, and the publishers and narrators who have committed to working together to make great audiobooks.

Announcing Mosaic Audio's new audiobook recording studio in San Francisco!

Our new studio is just a block from the historic beat poet hangout City Lights Bookstore in San Francisco's North Beach.

We're so happy to bring our audiobook expertise to this vibrant artistic community. And yes, we’re keeping our five Los Angeles studios in our Burbank and Sherman Oaks locations.

We look forward to serving the audiobook community in both Northern and Southern CA!

We're so excited to learn that one of our projects was listed as an Odyssey Honor Audiobook for the 2025 American Library Association's Youth Media Awards! This one was special, as I got to direct the amazing young writer Sofia Sanchez in narrating her own audiobook, You Are Brave: A Book About Trying New Things in Mosaic Audio's Northern California studio, with producer Paul R. We loved recording this project for Recorded Books with Amy Rubinate directing. A sublime audiobook debut for narrator Alyssa Appleton, whose work with the Zack Snyder team as the movie was developed gave her great insight into the characters, and whose acting training and experience lent themselves beautifully to the audiobook form. We can't wait to watch the movie on and to see Alyssa's audiobook career blossom!
