I don’t run a pest control company anymore — now I make content for folks who do.⁣

But I still stop to check traps. 👀⁣

Still watching what pests are up to. Still weirdly excited when I spot something out of season.⁣

When a pest account cancels to use a family friend, it’s likely 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙮’𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙚 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠.⁣

Usually when the ants or rodents return…⁣or “the cousin” stops answering the phone.⁣

Last week I ran a poll asking which pest to focus on for my next bundle of templates—and 𝗯𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗼𝗻 over termites!⁣

So I’ve been deep in design mode this weekend, building out a new bundle (and working around the lack of decent “free” bed bug photos 😅).⁣

Rodent teeth never stop growing! ⁣
⁣
This constant growth is why rodents, like rats and mice are always gnawing on things—to wear down their teeth to prevent them from getting too long. ⁣
⁣
Rats are also “commensal,” which means that they live in close proximity with humans and benefit from this relationship. ⁣
⁣
They are highly attracted to trash and garbage because it provides them with an easy and consistent food source. ⁣
⁣
Rodents have a keen sense of smell, allowing them to detect food scraps, waste, and even pet food left in the garbage. 🏡🐀⁣
⁣
Overflowing or improperly sealed trash cans create an ideal feeding ground for rats, drawing them closer to homes and businesses. 👃🗑️⁣

Keeping trash securely covered and disposing of food waste properly is essential for preventing rodent infestations.⁣
