We have officially hit peak retail insanity!

Look, prices are going up everywhere. I get it. Stores have to protect their valuable, high-demand merchandise from theft.

Electronics? Sure. 💻
Expensive makeup? Understandable. 💄
Designer shoes? Makes sense. 👟

BUT BUBBLE WRAP?! 🫧🤣

Walmart is out here putting anti-theft security tags on giant rolls of BUBBLE WRAP.

THE STUFF I BUY TO PROTECT MY VALUABLE ITEMS IS NOW CONSIDERED A VALUABLE ITEM THAT NEEDS PROTECTION. 💀

I’m just trying to safely ship somebody’s 1970s ceramic goose, not pull off the heist of the century.

What’s next?! Armed security guarding the packing peanuts?!

So there I was, walking into the post office with an armful of packages heading off to their new homes.

As I’m approaching the door, an older lady stops dead in her tracks, pulls down her sunglasses, looks at my mountain of boxes, and says…

🗣️ “GOOD LORD! You’re gonna have to take out a mortgage to mail all those!”

I just smiled, laughed a little, and kept walking.

What she didn’t know?

That entire stack cost me $1.85 to ship. 💀😂

Sometimes it’s the little things in this reselling adventure that make me laugh.

Meanwhile, somewhere in America, that lady is still worried about my financial future. 🤣📦

Y’all… I don’t even know where to begin with this one. 🤯

If you know Jessi and me, you know we have a borderline UNHEALTHY obsession with Moon & Stars glass. 🌙⭐ We’ve built quite the collection over the years, and it’s one of those patterns that will stop us DEAD in our tracks every single time.

Now, throw AMBERINA GLASS into the mix?! That gorgeous fiery red fading into orange and yellow… AND IT GLOWS UNDER UV LIGHT?! 🧡❤️

GOOD LORD. THAT’S MY WEAKNESS. 😂

Well, apparently the thrift store gods decided we deserved a little excitement today because WE JUST STUMBLED UPON AN ABSOLUTE MOTHERLODE OF AMBERINA MOON & STARS!!! 😱🔥

And here’s where the story gets even crazier…

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US!

Right around Christmas last year, we stumbled upon a MASSIVE collection of cobalt blue Moon & Stars glass. That incredible haul actually included the piece that would become Jessi’s GRAIL FAIRY LAMP! 💙

We thought lightning couldn’t possibly strike twice.

WELL, APPARENTLY LIGHTNING HAS A THRIFT STORE LOYALTY CARD. ⚡🤣

But here’s the BIG difference between that haul and this one…

Last time, we were a little selfish. Okay, maybe A LOT selfish. 😂

This time?

👀 I SPOKE WITH THE BOSS.

And after some very serious negotiations with Jessi (which may or may not have involved begging)…

🚨 SHE GAVE THE GREEN LIGHT!!! 🚨

🔥 WE’RE RUNNING ALL OF IT ON WHATNOT!!! 🔥

That’s right! This incredible collection of glowing, fiery, vintage goodness is heading straight to an upcoming Manasota Vintage Treasures show!

We’re talking Moon & Stars. We’re talking Amberina. We’re talking the kind of glass that makes collectors forget they have bills to pay. 😂
