Maternity Leave fact #2: How much money do you ACTUALLY get on disability during maternity leave?
Most moms don’t realize your 67.5% is based on your GROSS pay — not your take- home. So if you normally take home $500 from a $1,000 paycheck, 67.5% of the gross would be $675… meaning you could actually bring home MORE on disability than your normal checks. 💸 ✨

⚠️This only applies in the 8 states (plus DC) with disability/PFL programs:
CA (60-70%), NJ (85%), NY (67% PFL), RI (~60%), HI (58%), (MA 50-80%), CT (60-95%), WA (up to 90%), + DC (up to 90%).
Always check your specific state rules. Benefits vary by income + weekly caps.
