🟡: APA 9-BALL Monday was...well...more of the same APA action this session lol! SL3 was shooting his whole butt off and I was like, "Alright cool 🫠" lmao! I also couldn't stop scratching and self snookering, so that didn't help me at all 😂. Hot...mess that night despite coming off of a strong-playing weekend.

That's life! 🤙🏾✌🏾 Will shoot strong tonight because I'm mad 😂😂😂😂😂 Also, we MUST win ⚫️ tonight for end-of-session positioning 🤞🏾

🟡: CT SHORELINE SEMI PRO action this weekend was my best match in a few years, despite stalling on the Hill. APA 7/9 opponent (That Fargo means nothing for most people) that was shoooootinggggggg! Playing defense and forcing 2 fouls was the M.O. for the both of us because I was on a tear myself. In the end, as mentioned, I stalled on the hill...and that is okay! I was very happy with my shot selection and patience.

Firm handshakes afterwards and discussions of early years of competing. I've never been nationally ranked as him (yet), but one day I will be!!! Trust the process, y'all.

🛩🟡⚫️: When I travel for ANY reason, my cues go with. I researched pool halls before I left and Q Billiards Sports Bar came up as THEE place in Manassas, VA. Let me tell you, it HAS to be 🔥

Beautiful establishment! 9ft everything, great atmosphere, and very well kept tables. VERY good acoustics that has me wonder how decent sized stakes would feel in tournament play there in a good way. I had an amazing time and will be back in the future.

Additionally, I was able to bring the plaque from last session for my former but always Fleet teammate to sign! Was a pleasure to shoot, teach, and one-way nerd out (😂) about billiards with her lol.

Looking forward to returning to Manassas in the future and shooting/competing at Q Billiards!!!

💰🟡: I love 9-Ball. End of session 1 is complete for CT Shoreline Ranked: Semi-Pro! Ended up in second place for Racks Won and $100 in my pocket! This was calculated by total racks won/total racks played, equaling a strong 89.80% 🔥🔥🔥

Goal for session 2 is to reach 1st place on standings for a spot in the session's Top Dawg Tournament! Currently up to compete for 5th 🫡

🎱: I said it a couple posts ago that I would play strong for 8-Ball this week, and I did just that. Practice and theoretical billiards studying is beginning to produce dividends (finally! Tired of this 8-ball format slump lol).

Played up against a SL5 and it turned into a shootout starting on rack 3. Battled to Hill-Hill, and I took it with a nice 4 ball runout with excellent pace.

Got the points to support the Team Dubskoozoo 😂 We are now in 2nd with 2 more weeks of regular play. Playoffs are in January 💪🏾

I have a suggestion, ! Down the road, can there be a form of match replay (review)? That would be a FANTASTIC learning tool, especially for instructors and players that want to review for pattern recognition and teaching students. I'm thinking something that would show the pieces moving and on the right side, the corresponding universal square, piece, and action symbols/designations? Please DM me! I have more suggestions and would love to assist in future development!!!

I had a terrible opening and underdeveloped my pieces through the bulk of the midgame until a huge tradeoff happened. That's when I went full offensive press. BEAUTIFUL finish but the weirdest endgame I have had in my life; no exaggeration. I called it 8 moves prior to Mate that I was going to force it in 6-7 moves, but not by leading with my Queen and zigzaging where she is now and Ebony's pawn row, capturing the entire time; mostly pawns. Oscar didn't move his Rooks, which was solid defense but hurt him as well. I was essentially forcing his King to the corner for the final hem-up and succeeded. I feel he could have pressed on my queen a bit but, hey, I'll take it.

MONDAY DUB! Current rate of team play projects that we will make playoffs (APA 9-Ball). Going to be tough to go from 4th to 1st with a bye and 3 weeks of regular session left, but we have done it before some years back.

Made some bonehead moves in the mid-game that had me lose my Queen. What you see is a result of shifting Ebony King to the left side of the board, freeing one of my pawn to make it to the Promised Land, lol, and promote. Upon the promotion to Queen, I got that sweet Checkmate.

790 ELO! I think I can get to 1000 by the end of December. Just have to keep playing. Going to start mixing in some Chess.com matches soon.

A Breakdown 🧠: Happy Sunday, Friends! I played in a Chips Tourney (My first one) this past Black Friday, and I had a FANTASTIC time despite shooting 0-8 (no sarcasm).

Here's why that night was one of my best since the Make A Score 9-Ball Open back in August:

✅️ SMART SHOTS: I feel like my shot selection, whether defensive or offensive, was 90% the right choice. There were about 5 shots that cost me 3 matches, and I'm glad it happened so I can train on those patterns.

✅️ MINDFUL MECHANICS: Pre-Shot routine was maintained and executed consistently throughout the night. This allowed me to break mostly wet and have cue ball position. From there, I would create a good run BUT, it was never enough lol. I was happy that I was consistent in this department.

That's it. That's post! Take smart shots and mind your mechanics! Shoutout to Pete Brown and the entire Racks team/family for a solid and fun tournament. I may have looked mad the entire time but, trust me, I was having a great time! But, no one ever knows 😂
.....Maybe Chips could be a monthly thing starting in January? 👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀👀
