Another delivery from Scentsella, and I have yet to be disappointed. Everything smells so fresh and clean, no chemical undertones at all. Honey clementine will be used in the Pooh themed soap favors for my son and daughter-in-law’s baby shower. I’m looking forward to trying out the others very soon… they have inspired me so much! 😊

p.s. Very cool that the free sample wax melt just happens to match our cookie jar.

Ordered new smells from a new fragrance supply company, and I was not disappointed! Shipping was super fast and all scents are beyond amazing. I think Honey Clementine is my favorite… but they are all so delightful! I cannot wait to test them out with my soap recipe! Big thanks to Valerie at Scentsella for getting these packed up and down here so quickly!

p.s. I will definitely be melting that wax melt tomorrow, it smells delicious!

It’s funny how starting down one making journey can lead you to others. What is my latest rabbit hole, you ask? I have most definitely entered my Sourdough era!

This is “Hermione Grain-ger”, my starter that I made from scratch. There is something so satisfying at a primal level about harnessing the organisms in your own home environment to make delicious sustenance for your family.

This is a soap I formulated specifically for my tattoo aftercare when I was having a hard time finding a soap that was fragrance and artificial dye free. This is a soothing aloe soap made with lots of avocado oil, shea butter and other skin loving oils, along with raw honey and turmeric. It’s one of our favorites around here because it gets the job done while leaving your skin feeling soft and clean.

Hey there friends! It’s been a while. I’ve been working on getting my mojo back, and finally feel the urge to make some soap. This weekend the plan is to make a big batch of my family’s favorite unscented aloe soap, and then a smaller batch with a new recipe and a new custom fragrance blend (see below). Here’s hoping this new scent and formula will rekindle my flame! 😉

My latest iteration of Bay Rum, made with goat milk, honey, turmeric and a little ground oatmeal for extra scrubbiness. I am pretty pleased with how the top turned out. We will see what the inside looks like tomorrow, hopefully. 😉
