From the networking breakfast, to the keynote presentation, to the Women Leaders Panel, one message was clear: Women in Glass + Fenestration are shaping the future by showing up, learning, and lifting each other up.

The future of Women in Glass and Fenestration will be stronger when...
🏗️ ‘When inclusion is interlaced into every design, blueprint, and conversation, it brings stability and strength.’ – Sheronda L. Carr, CEO, NAWIC
🤝'Women champion other women and make the table bigger.’ – Lakisha A. Woods, CAE, President & CEO, NGA

✨ ‘You have to know what you want to be known for. Tell people your value and start showing up.’ – Stefanie Couch, founder of Grit Blueprint, reminded us that visibility and vulnerability create impact.
💡 ‘Always be looking for someone you can learn from. Confidence and curiosity help us grow—and help others grow too.’ – Lakisha A. Woods, CAE

Once products have been installed, how can you confirm they are performing as intended? At the Main Stage session “Field Testing for Water Pe*******on in Fenestration Systems”, Aaron Blom, FGIA Technical Training Specialist, shared insights from AAMA 503, Voluntary Specification for Field Testing of Newly Installed Storefronts, Curtain Walls and Sloped Glazing Systems. This FGIA document outlines test methods for evaluating the performance of newly installed storefronts, curtain walls and sloped glazing systems, and these tests provide reasonable assurance that the installed product is performing to the required air leakage and/or water pe*******on performance levels.

‘Optimism is ever-blooming in this industry,’ says Chris Beard, VP of Building Products Research at John Burns Research & Consulting. Despite softening remodeling activity and inflationary pressures, the window & door sector remains resilient—Q3 saw rising unit volumes and a shift toward premium products. Survey respondents expect a 5.4% revenue boost in 2026!

In this session, "Window & Door Industry Update", Chris takes a deep dive into the current conditions and temperature of the window and door market at the GlassBuild Main Stage. Featuring data from the Window & Door Market Survey, an exclusive partnership with JBREC and Window + Door and the NGA, Chris shared current market conditions, analyzed year-over-year data and trends, and highlighted where the residential fenestration industry has been and where it's likely to go.

During Innovative Strategies to Mitigate Impacts from Supply Chain Disruptions, Janice Yglesias, Executive Director, FGIA , spoke with panelists from across the supply chain: Abe Eshkenazi, CEO of the Association of Supply Chain Management; Chip Gentry, chief legal officer, Quaker Windows & Doors; and Jeff Robinson, sales supervisor, Southeast region for Intertek’s Building and Construction Division. Panelists discussed the many external factors that can impact your component and material sourcing.
