First-day-of-vacation necessities: pick up your sister, make a roadie—passengers only, obviously 😂—and head to the airport! ✈️🌴

Our Peach Key Lime Margaritas were made with the very same Bessie & Co. syrups I use to flavor my Peach and Key Lime pound cakes. Turns out they make a pretty delicious vacation drink, too! 🍑🍋‍🟩

The syrups are available at the farmstand and will be coming to The Apple Barrel soon. Now…vacation officially begins! ☀️

The Bessie & Co. Pumpkin Patch is officially OPEN. 🎃🧵

I had this little idea to take old, forgotten textiles and turn them into something new…and somewhere between learning my sewing machine again, hunting through thrifted fabrics and making “just one more,” I ended up with a whole pumpkin patch. 😂

Every one is handmade. Every one is different. And I especially love knowing that many of these fabrics already had a life before they became pumpkins. 🤎

My suggestion? Pick yourself a little pumpkin family — a small, medium + large that look like they belong together. Or don’t listen to me and buy the giant floral one because she is FABULOUS. 😂

The first batch is now in the Bessie & Co. booth at the Apple Barrel in Bremen. And this is only the beginning…there are more vintage textiles waiting on my sewing table. 🪡🍂

I have been waiting ALL YEAR to wear this hat. 😂🍂

September is here and the booth is starting to look like it too. I did a little restocking, a little rearranging, and brought in some really good vintage finds this week — including that fabulous working vintage percolator, milk glass I’ve never seen before, a very 70s condiment set, Currier & Ives plates, and a few sweet little brass butterflies.

And as always… every plate has a story. If you see one you love, take it home. I’ll find another beautiful old piece to take its place. 🤎

Come poke around the Bessie & Co. booth at Apple Barrel this week. There is LOTS of new-old stuff to see.

P.S. The hat says “Dancin’ in September,” and yes, I planned accordingly. 😉

New Italian Parmesan sourdough + really good olive oil + apparently half my lunch still on my face. 😂

Fresh Press Farms gifted me this olive oil a while back and y’all… I’m hooked. It is SO good with fresh bread. And somebody please tell them I deserve extra credit for keeping the bread crumb in the reel. 😂

Mr. Bear, aka the official farmstand dog, got himself a new fall uniform. 🍂🐾

Our friend Jeanette with LMD Retrievers fixed him right up with a monogrammed bandanna AND his own little Bear tag. I mean… look at him. 😍

Jeanette just opened her new booth at Apple Barrel — right inside the front door, you truly can’t miss her! She has the cutest dog accessories and outfits, plus all kinds of homemade goodies for your four-legged people.

And y’all, Jeanette herself is worth getting to know. She’s a lady duck hunter, dog lover, incredibly talented, and just one of the coolest women you’ll ever meet.
