We had a blast and I know this is will certainly be a wedding I'll never forget. Both your families were wonderfully supportive and I can't wait to share the rest of the footage.📱📱📱📱📱 STORY Last fall, when I bought my iPhone 8 Plus, with 256GBs of storage and an amazing camera. I had a goal for 2018! It was to shoot an ENTIRE WEDDING with just phones and I knew it would take an adventurous couple do so. So grateful for these two, in trusting us and hiring us with their wedding, in this crazy way. It wasn’t easy shooting with only phones. We had to fully charge the phones 3 times, two power Ankerbanks, Moment lenses, RØDE Microphones , DJI gimbal, ikan lights, Benro tripods, and several stabilizers to make it happen. We had all our gear as backup just in case and the minivan was packed! 😳 We had more gear at this wedding than our normal weddings, just in case. INDIAN-AMERICAN FUSION WEDDING CELEBRATION - WOW! This 3 Day adventure came together so well and I'm pretty confident it'll be a lasting memory. Spina was thrilled with the video. "It's Amazing!" came out of her mouth when she watched it. I'm sure Tommy gave it a thumbs up. :) This was a cultural experience for me. My first time being part of an Indian / Hindu Wedding and it was such an honor. What a celebration with loving family and symbolic rituals. My head was on a swivel along with Brent's, as we captured this wedding. On Thursday, the first day we shot Spina, while her cousin Niki, applied Henna to her hands and arms. I had my 3 year old son on that shoot and all the Aunt's, Mothers, and Grandmas were so welcoming to him. He loved the snacks. He hung out with them while we shot some amazing henna details in 4k and with a Macro L-Series Lens. Tommy was a Dallas Cowboys fan, but we still got along and had a good time. Enjoy the aerials and multiple camera angles. We shoot cinematically, but we also shoot for the couple. We want them to enjoy a timeless memory that their kids will wanna see. WAVE RUNNERS AND A DRONE - This was just fun!
It took getting fired from a well paying corporate job, to turn this side business into a full time business. After the HR call, a lot of worry and emotions set in. Thoughts about the phone call with my wife, insurance, monthly paycheck, the kids, etc. After a few phone calls and some encouragement from friends and family the calmness began to set in. We had savings, no debt, and we already had a part time business that was growing and we could focus on it Monday through Friday. One door closes and another one opens is a popular phrase and it’s true! I never would have quit that corporate job, but since that terrible day and pride shattering moment...we have been blow away by what we’ve experienced since. Experiences we never would have enjoyed as an employee, like working in 8 different International countries, all over the nation, and meeting amazing clients/friends. We have been humbled by the freedom of being self employed. Self employment has its challenges and it’s not for everyone, but we love it because of the time we get to spend together and with our kiddos. In 2018, a dream of mine came true.
