Become a Birthday Buddy!
Last year, with the support of my family and generous donors, I launched the Birthday Buddy Program at our local elementary school, where I also teach second grade.
This program supports students in need—identified by our school counselors—by making sure they feel celebrated and loved on their special day. Thanks to our community’s kindness, we were able to surprise 70 students with birthday gift bags last year, and we hope to reach even more this year!
Each student receives a personalized birthday card and a gift bag filled with special items such as:
🎂 Cake mix, frosting, candles
🎉 Birthday-themed paper products
📚 A book at their reading level
🧸 A small toy
🧦 A comfort item like pajamas, socks, a blanket, or hoodie
Want to make a difference? Here's how you can become a Birthday Buddy:
1. Please LIKE and SHARE this post.
2. Birthday Buddy Wish List-https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/2QPZOEQCROFCJ?ref_=wl_share
3. Donate Gently Used Gift Bags & Tissue Paper
I’m happy to pick them up or coordinate a convenient drop-off.
4. Donate New Items
We gladly accept new books, stuffed animals, unopened toys (board games are a big hit!), and new clothing items such as pajamas, socks, hoodies, t-shirts, or throw blankets.
The Birthday Buddy Program serves students ages 4–12 in Pre-K through 5th grade. With your help, we can make every birthday a little brighter!
