There is no greater feeling than loving someone, and no greater hurt... the same. That’s part of being human. I’m glad that one of these wonderful days, I’ll be leaving here not just human, but all God's. Then, there will be no greater love than that... and no hurt.

As we all stumble along with our hellos and how-do-you-do’s, let us pray for each other... truly pray for one another. Not just intend to, but take pause and actually do it. And while you're at it, ask someone to do the same for you. Love one another in that. Carry that love to the cross, and leave the hurt behind.

As I walk through my garden of life, I see flowers standing tall on each side. These are my friends who pray for me and encourage me. I see withered leaves, fallen from an old season, that need to be cleared away. I lean down and remember to water those who are thirsty, and I’m grateful for their giving of life into mine. I call these friends too.

Sometimes I look back and see weeds around my garden, beyond the fence. These were once family, friends, people I knew. There is no greater feeling than loving someone... and no greater hurt than seeing them beyond your fence.

I pray for you, friends, that we stay strong in our encouragement of each other. Let us take time, separate from everything else, to pray for one another. We need to bring our burdens, and our friends’ burdens, to the One who can keep our gardens of life flourishing... even through the storms.

Love a white finish...This was a great piece to work on.

Life is a vast, uncharted forest, each of us moving in our own way, meeting others by chance, feeling the brush of fleeting connections...a touch, a laugh, a glimpse of something true.

We travel this path in faith, trusting that any moment, we may meet a soul who makes the journey feel blessed. And in those brief flashes, love finds us, reminding us why we wandered so far.

Every day, we send out our hopes and prayers like boats on the water, trusting God’s hand to carry them where they’re meant to go. We fill them with pieces of our heart, offerings from our spirit, believing that somewhere, perhaps in distant places...someone will find them and understand.

This is faith...sharing our deepest hopes and trusting God to guide them to the right shores. 'Cast your bread upon the waters, for after many days you will find it again.' – Ecclesiastes 11:1

💌Erin's Recipe for a Meaningful Prayer Life

Ingredients:

1 open heart (Psalm 51:17)
2 tablespoons of humility (James 4:10)
A generous scoop of gratitude (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
1 measure of trust in God’s will (Matthew 6:10)
A dash of stillness to listen (Psalm 46:10)
Persistent faith, as much as you can muster (Luke 18:1)

Instructions:

Start with an open heart. Approach God honestly and humbly, ready to pour out your thoughts and burdens (Psalm 51:17). There’s no need to be perfect, just be present.

Add humility. Recognize your dependence on God’s grace, remembering that He lifts up the humble (James 4:10). Humility creates the space where God’s love and wisdom can work.

Stir in gratitude. Express thanks for both blessings and trials (1 Thessalonians 5:18). Gratitude aligns our hearts with God’s goodness and deepens our trust.

Mix in trust in His will. Pray for His kingdom and His plans over your own desires (Matthew 6:10). Trust that His ways are higher, even when the answer may look different than expected.

Add a moment of stillness. Pause to listen, letting God speak in the quiet (Psalm 46:10). Sometimes the best part of prayer is simply sitting in His presence, with no words at all.

Finish with faith. Jesus reminds us to pray persistently (Luke 18:1). Even when answers don’t come right away, faith keeps us rooted in the promise that God hears every prayer.

Serving suggestion: Pray daily, whenever you feel led. Like bread to the body, prayer sustains the soul. Let each conversation with God draw you closer to Him, knowing He listens, He cares, and His love never fails (1 John 5:14-15).

Write to connect. Write to spark a conversation. Write to invite others in. If you want your words to matter, write with the purpose of reaching out. The most powerful writing isn’t just seen...it’s felt and shared.

If the lion was advised by the fox, he would be cunning. But isn’t there a beauty in being true to one’s nature, unfiltered and bold?

The apple tree never asks the beech how to grow. Maybe our power lies in embracing who we are, not in copying another’s path. What wisdom is there in being fully yourself?
