💍 A Little Behind The Scenes Info for Couples Using Zola
I wanted to share something that many couples may not realize when searching for wedding vendors on Zola.
I recently saw a discussion where a couple was disappointed because some vendors declined their date or did not continue the conversation. From a couple's perspective, I completely understand how that could feel frustrating, especially when you are excited about planning your wedding and trying to find the right team.
As a wedding vendor myself, I also wanted to share a little of what happens on the vendor side.
Zola allows couples to browse, favorite, and inquire with vendors. When an inquiry comes through, the vendor then decides whether they would like to use their available credits or plan to connect with that couple.
That means vendors are making a business decision each time they choose to open a new connection. For small businesses, those decisions can add up quickly, especially when several inquiries never turn into conversations or couples decide to go in another direction.
This is definitely not meant to discourage anyone from using Zola. I am on Zola myself and think it can be a great tool for discovering wedding professionals.
I simply want couples to know that when you find a vendor you are genuinely interested in, sending a detailed inquiry can make a huge difference.
Let them know your date, venue or location, what you are looking for, and anything else that can help them understand your wedding.
And if you decide to go with someone else, a simple message letting the vendor know is always appreciated. ❤️
There are real people and small businesses behind those profiles, just like there are real couples behind every inquiry.
A little communication and understanding on both sides can make the wedding planning experience so much better for everyone.
