Chartway Promise at ODU Game
Last night was a big night for everyone involved! During the ODU Monarchs men's basketball game at Chartway Arena, we celebrated Chartway Promise Night. Chartway Promise Foundation teamed up with Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia to make Julian Garcia's wish come true and send his family to Disney World! Beginning tomorrow Monday, December 12, we will be collecting donations for the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore and WAVY TV 10.
The Foodbank provides food assistance to the 1 in 8 Virginians who are experiencing the fears and pains of hunger. They are committed to eliminating hunger in our community.
WAVY collects thousands of coats for the winter, all sizes, and distributes them to those in need. The coldest temp in the Hampton Roads area was -2.
Monday, December 12 - Friday, December 16 (last donation taken by 10am) Our team will be bringing in gently worn coats & non-perishable to donate. We wanted to open it up to all of you and give you the chance to drop off any goods you were thinking about donating as well.
We will have two boxes in the lobby at OEA for you to put your donations in. One for coats and one for non-perishable items.
Find a detailed list of non-perishable items needed for the Food Bank in the post. Everything donated will be delivered to a local designated drop off for the Coats for Families and the Food Bank.
