Decided to forgo the Flex in Temple today.

Our Sully isn’t doing well, I couldn’t stand the thought of walking past him to be gone for half of the day while he struggled. He had his second steroid shot yesterday and they added some pain meds, but I think the conversation with the vet is increasingly leaning towards keeping him comfortable. He’s been dealing with hip dysplasia, spondylosis, and bad joints in his backside, which seems to have kicked into a new gear recently.

The past three days have been tough. Both for him physically, and me mentally. The hardest part is going to be letting him go. He’s showed some good signs today but for some reason his right back hip/leg/knee just seem to be done, with no visible signs of distress from him other than being less mobile… Hopefully the shot helps and we’ll be getting back to the Vet on Monday…

Notched myself a nine point jump in my first ratings update in almost a year, and my first W in three years! The goal remains the same though.

• Lower my expectations and avoid unnecessary frustration

I can’t say my round this weekend was a fluke, but I do think you can shoot good when better people are shooting bad thus inflating the rating. 🤷🏽‍♂️ I don’t expect to shoot that hot consistently, but it’s nice to know it’s still in there! @

Unofficial results but great results none the less!

What a day! I honestly didn’t want to leave the house this morning. I had already made up every excuse not to go, and I’m so glad April pushed me! For having only played one round since time changed, and maybe a couple rounds sprinkled in since the baby was born, I’m pretty happy with today’s performance (and quite surprised)! I’m back to a bag I’m more confident in with a few new additions I’m working out.

My putting confidence however has taken a bit of a hit as I’m in this sort of putter limbo… So I’m putting with a K1 Soft Berg! 😅

The goal this month is simple! My goals month to month however remain fluid depending on if I feel I’ve met said goal.

February’s Goal - I’ve GOTTA lower my expectations!

This hopeful will allow me set some realistic goals and avoid some unnecessary frustration as I start to get back into it. There’s obviously going to be some natural loss in skill and conditioning, but I HAVE to make a conscious effort to remember I’m not as young as I think I am! 😅 But I also don’t believe my best golf is behind me! THIS should give me the space to gradually rebuild some confidence, focus on finding enjoyment in the game again, and adapt to any changes in my growing body! 😂.
