I recently saw Vito from No Honor Among Thieves say the OFNR 20 bill was fitting for the anniversary and made perfect sense.

He was right. Every band playing October 3 has real history with OFNR, some going back 15 years.

Tax Collectors & Harlots starts with two words: Scotty Anarchy. I met Scott when he was in Crossing Rubicon, and he became a ride-or-die supporter of OFNR. The feeling remains 100% mutual.

Continuum? Family. We've been connected since 2011, and they have their own chapter in Living the Scene. Brenda hosted my family for dinners when our kids were younger. Bryan was my boss and eventually became Brandon's guitar teacher. Both contributed to OFNR Christmas Massacre productions, and Brenda later joined the FN Show staff.

Fear The Masses came through Metal Cyndicate, where Josh and Doug were mainstays. I became a huge fan immediately. They eventually joined OFNR themselves, hosting the political show Citizens Informed.

Stagger happened almost by accident. In 2011, we were in Asbury Park interviewing Darkness Descends when Stagger walked up. They weren't even on the bill.

They asked what some guys from CT were doing in NJ.

“Supporting local music.”

So were they.

That October, Stagger played Cherry Street, helping start a pipeline of bands traveling between NJ and CT. Friendships formed that still exist today.

And She Walks Without Legs? Literal family. Another band with their own chapter going back to 2011. Countless OFNR shows. They were there when the final studio was christened, and Jordan became my Indie 180 co-host.

So yeah, the bill makes sense.

These aren't five bands filling five slots. They supported OFNR, worked with OFNR, created with us, traveled with us, sat at our tables and became part of our lives.

October 3 isn't a reunion bill.

It's the family back in one room.

Coming up in September, our longtime pals are putting on a show over at featuring , , and ’s own .

Operation namedrop complete...

Oh wait.... theres more!

There’s this new up-and-coming band called Last Dream Chased. 😏

For those not in the know, Last Dream Chased is the acoustic project I’m doing with my 16-year-old son, Brandon. And I really hope to see some friendly faces there to cheer the kid on.

This community has always had Brandon’s back and made him feel included, now he’s stepping onto the stage and becoming part of it himself. So come out, make him feel welcome, and show him what this community is all about...
..while still remembering to say "F**k you, Knob!” to me. 😂🤘

I do have a reputation to uphold, after all.

I'll be sure to bring a proof of the scene With me for you to peruse and I hope to see you all there! - K**B

Join me tonight on this Dream Chased at SBC Milford for my one-year anniversary of playing at ! 🎸

One year ago, after a 25-year hiatus, I stepped back onto a stage as a performer.
John and the Milford Open Mic community made that transition easy. They welcomed me, encouraged me, and gave me a place to reclaim a part of my life after a pretty brutal year.

Now... it’s time to up the ante.

Sure, I’m playing the same two songs I played one year ago. 😂 But this time, I brought backup in the form of a 16-year-old newbie to the stage: my son, Brandon.

He may be new to performing, but this kid has quite literally lived the scene since birth, which makes tonight feel all the more fitting.

One year after I found my way back onto a stage, I get to share one with my son for the first time.

That’s pretty damn cool.

Hope to see some friendly faces tonight to help me welcome my son to playing live! 🤘🎸

🚨🚨🚨 **THIS IS NOT A DRILL.** 🚨🚨🚨

WE HAVE OFFICIALLY ENTERED THE **50-DAY WARNING ZONE.**

That’s right.

**50 DAYS UNTIL .** 🤘📻🔥

Five. Zero.

In just 50 days, a ridiculous little internet radio station that started **20 YEARS AGO** because two idiots from Connecticut School of Broadcasting thought **“Neil n Bob on the Knob”** was funny will somehow culminate in an actual 20th anniversary show.

Honestly, nobody should have allowed this to get this far.

And yet... HERE WE ARE. 😂

📅 **October 3, 2026**
📍 **Cherry Street Station — Wallingford, CT**
🚪 Doors: **7 PM**
🎸 First band: **8 PM**

Featuring:

🔥 Tax Collectors & Harlots
🔥 Continuum
🔥 Fear The Masses
🔥 Stagger
🔥 She Walks Without Legs

There will be music.

There will be old friends.

There will be questionable decisions.

There will almost certainly be stories beginning with, **“Okay, so back in...”**

There will be copies of my memoir documenting almost 20 years of OFNR called *Living the Scene*.

There will be me with a microphone, which historically has been a terrible idea.

And, yes, **STAGGER IS COMING TO TOWN.**

I realize Stagger is already listed above.

But Stagger being *physically present in Connecticut* is not merely part of the band lineup.

**It is a separate risk factor.**

It fundamentally changes the actuarial tables regarding the continued health and functionality of my liver.

My liver has been notified. Now yours has too.

50 days to get affairs in order. 🍻😂

There will be **20 YEARS OF OFFICIAL FN RADIO** packed into one completely ridiculous night.

**50 DAYS.**

Start stretching.

Hydrate.

Inform your loved ones.

Locate your battle vest and OFNR merch. I want to see all the shirts, from all the years, CHAOS Shirts in FORCE!!!!

Begin emotionally preparing your liver.

Sacrifice a perfectly good CD-R to the gods of independent radio.

Whatever your preferred ritual may be.

Because on October 3rd...

**OFNR RIDES ONE MORE TIME.** 🤘📻

When Official FN Radio shut down in 2017, in a lot of ways, I left the scene with it.

I stood on that stage at Cherry Street and promised I'd be back.

Then the amps turned off. The party was over. The station was gone.

And if I'm being truthful, I allowed myself to become bitter. I was hurt. Somewhere along the way, I started believing the views mattered more than the friendships. That the numbers were somehow the measure of whether any of it had mattered.

Who were we even reaching anymore?

I allowed the negative internal voices to convince me I hadn't made a difference. That nobody cared.

Then, in March 2025, my mom died from cancer.

My life changed. My perspective changed.

So I set out to write a book.

Mostly for my kids. So they would know who their dad was. What he did. Why he mattered.

Instead, I discovered something I think I always knew:

OFNR mattered because the scene said it mattered.

Because they believed in us. In me.

They saw a guy who came to literally everything. Who showed up.

And they remembered.

I spent months digging through audio archives, flyers, photos, interviews and broadcasts, painstakingly cross-referencing nearly 20 years of history. Some things even had to be removed on the advice of my legal team—which is still hilarious to say about a book about a small independent radio station. 😂

Yesterday, Book #1 showed up at my doorstep.

Today, Books #2–30 arrive.

The remaining preorders are being placed today.

And I just want to say thank you.

To everyone who preordered. Everyone who contributed. Everyone who answered a ridiculous question about a show 17 years ago, shared a memory, or simply said, “Yeah, man. I remember that.”

This past year was one of the hardest of my life.

And now I'm heading toward a celebration of something incredibly dear to me: OFNR Studios and, even more importantly, the CT music community that made it possible.

Because it wasn't the views.

It wasn't the numbers.

It was the people.

It was always the people.

October 3rd, we celebrate together.

Thank you for being part of the story.

Well, kids… TODAY IS THE DAY. 📚🤘

The FINAL, absolute LAST day to preorder my memoir called: Living The Scene.

Almost 20 years of material packed into 393 pages of flyers, photos, interviews, stories, and assorted nonsense documenting how a little independent radio station somehow became a Connecticut institution by basically refusing to go away. 😂

**$30 gets you the book AND
One Free admission to OFNR 20
on October 3rd at Cherry Street Station.**

After today, preorders are DONE!

No more.

Not for you.
Not for God.
Not for your cousin who “totally meant to order one.”
Nobody. 😂

So if you KNOW you want the book, today is the day.
https://livingthescene.com/pre-order-living-the-scene/

Otherwise, you can wait for the official release, pay **$40 at retail**, and miss saving $10 more on what I am completely unbiasedly declaring **THE SHOW OF THE YEAR.** 🤣

Book. Show. $30.

Come celebrate almost 20 years of this ridiculous thing with us.

OFNR 20 — October 3rd.

I know Living The Scene is being promoted as my memoir, and it is.

But it's also something much bigger than that.

Living The Scene isn't just my story, it's the story of an entire music community as I lived it from 2005–2023.

Inside you'll find bands like Shallow Ground, Eyes of the Dead, Cyperna, Continuum, She Walks Without Legs, Stagger, Enemy of Reason, Risk All In Life, PRIAPISM, and countless more that helped shape Connecticut's underground music scene.

You'll also revisit legendary venues like Cherry Street Station, Cook's Cafe, cafe nine, 's Pub, Larry's, and many others that became a second home to musicians and fans alike.

Packed with stories, photographs, interviews, memories, and nearly two decades of history, Living The Scene is a time capsule for anyone who ever stood in front of a stage, bought a local band's CD, or found a family in live music.

This isn't just a book about bands.

It's about the scene.

If this community ever meant something to you, please consider pre-ordering a copy and joining us at Cherry Street Station on October 3rd for what promises to be an unforgettable night.

OFNR 20 - Come celebrate 20 years of Official F**king New Radio—a joke between friends that somehow became a Connecticut institution. ❤️🤘
