“My Husband Said The Money Was Gone — Then I Found The Keys And Realized His Secret Was Much Bigger Than I Thought”
PART 1

The first thing I noticed was the silence.

Not the peaceful kind.

The kind of silence that comes after someone has been caught.

I stood in my kitchen, one hand resting on my pregnant stomach, staring at the two things sitting on the counter.

A set of car keys.

And a stack of cash.

Two things that should not have been there.

Not together.

Not after everything my husband had told me.

My name is Olivia Bennett.

I was thirty-two years old, eight months pregnant, and I thought I knew the man I married.

Ethan and I had been together for six years.

He was the kind of man everyone admired.

Successful.

Calm.

Responsible.

The type of husband people described as “lucky.”

But recently…

something changed.

He became distant.

He stopped talking about the future.

He started taking phone calls outside.

He began locking his office door.

Whenever I asked what was wrong, he always gave the same answer.

“Work stress.”

I believed him.

Because I wanted to.

Until the night I found the receipt.

A payment.

Thousands of dollars.

To a company I didn’t recognize.

When I asked him about it, he didn’t even look surprised.

“It’s nothing.”

Again.

That word.

Nothing.

But this time, I knew better.

A week later, I came home early from a doctor’s appointment.

I wanted to surprise Ethan.

Instead…

I found him in the kitchen.

And he looked surprised to see me.

Too surprised.

“What are you doing home?”

he asked.

I smiled.

“I could ask you the same thing.”

His expression changed.

Only slightly.

But enough.

Then I noticed something.

A woman’s handbag on the counter.

Not mine.

My heart started racing.

“Who was here?”

Ethan immediately became defensive.

“Olivia, don’t start.”

That sentence hurt more than the bag.

Because innocent people explain.

Guilty people attack.

That night, I couldn’t sleep.

I lay beside my husband while pretending to rest.

But my mind was racing.

Who was the woman?

Why was Ethan hiding things?

Why did everything suddenly feel like a lie?

Then, at 2:00 in the morning…

his phone lit up.

A message.

I didn’t want to look.

I really didn’t.

But something inside me told me I needed to.

The message was short.

“Did she find out?”

My heart stopped.

Another message appeared.

“Don’t worry. She’ll never know about the account.”

The account.

What account?

The next morning, Ethan left early.

And for the first time in six years…

I searched his office.

I wasn’t looking for revenge.

I was looking for the truth.

Inside a locked drawer, I found documents.

Bank statements.

Property papers.

A second account.

And then I found something that made me sit down.

A transfer.

A huge transfer.

The money was not missing.

It had been moved.

I heard the front door open.

Ethan was home.

Too early.

I quickly put everything back.

He walked into the kitchen.

“You’re acting strange.”

I looked at him.

“So are you.”

A long silence.

Then he said:

“We need to talk.”

My stomach tightened.

“About what?”

He looked away.

“About our future.”

I waited.

Then he said the words I never expected.

“I think we need some space.”

I stared at him.

“Space?”

“You’re stressed because of the pregnancy.”

I almost laughed.

Because somehow…

he was making me the problem.

Then I saw something.

On the counter.

A second set of keys.

The keys to a house I didn’t know about.

“Ethan.”

He froze.

“Whose keys are these?”

His face changed.

And that was the moment I knew.

The truth wasn’t about money.

It was about another life.

A life he had built without me.

That afternoon, I followed the address attached to the keys.

And what I found destroyed everything.

A house.

A beautiful house.

With flowers outside.

A child’s bicycle near the door.

And a woman standing in the driveway.

The same woman whose handbag I saw in my kitchen.

She looked at me.

Then looked at my pregnant stomach.

And whispered:

“You’re finally here.”

My blood ran cold.

“Who are you?”

She smiled sadly.

“I’m the person your husband told he was going to leave you for.”

I couldn’t breathe.

But before I could respond…

she said something that changed everything.

“Olivia…”

“You need to know the truth.”

“Ethan didn’t betray you because he stopped loving you.”

“He betrayed you because someone forced him to.”

I froze.

“What are you talking about?”

She looked toward the house.

Then whispered:

“Your husband has been protecting you from the same person who destroyed his first family.”

And suddenly…

the affair wasn’t the biggest secret anymore.

Because the real question was:

Who was powerful enough to control my husband?

And why was my unborn child in danger?

“My Daughter Was Crying In Silence — Then I Discovered What My Wife Had Been Doing Behind My Back”
PART 1

The moment I saw my daughter’s face, I knew something was wrong.

Not because she was crying.

Children cry.

It happens.

But my daughter, Emma, had stopped crying loudly.

She had learned how to hide her pain.

And that scared me more than anything.

My name is Daniel Carter.

I was forty-two years old, the owner of a successful construction company, and a single father for almost five years.

After losing my first wife, Sarah, I thought my life would never feel complete again.

The only thing that kept me moving was Emma.

My little girl.

My entire world.

Emma was the kind of child who noticed everyone’s feelings before her own.

If someone looked sad, she asked if they were okay.

If someone needed help, she offered hers.

She was gentle.

Too gentle.

When I met Victoria, I thought she could bring happiness back into our home.

She was beautiful.

Confident.

Charming.

Everyone loved her.

“She’s perfect for you,” my friends said.

“She’ll be a wonderful mother to Emma.”

And I believed them.

Because I wanted to believe them.

For the first year, everything seemed perfect.

Victoria bought Emma dresses.

She helped her with homework.

She told people:

“I love Emma as if she were my own daughter.”

But little things started changing.

Things I ignored.

Emma stopped asking Victoria for help.

She stopped sitting next to her at dinner.

She stopped talking whenever Victoria entered the room.

I noticed.

But every time I asked, Emma smiled.

“I’m fine, Daddy.”

Those words became her shield.

I was busy.

Too busy.

Running a company meant endless meetings, travel, and late nights.

And every time I came home late…

Victoria always had an explanation.

“Emma is just going through a phase.”

“She misses her mother.”

“She’s becoming difficult.”

I believed my wife.

That was my mistake.

One evening, I returned home earlier than expected.

I had canceled a business meeting and wanted to surprise them.

But the moment I entered the house…

I heard crying.

A quiet cry.

Not the cry of a child asking for attention.

The cry of a child trying not to be heard.

I followed the sound upstairs.

And then I saw her.

Emma was sitting on the floor beside her bedroom door.

Her little hands were shaking.

Her face was covered in tears.

“Emma?”

She looked up.

And the first thing she said broke my heart.

“Daddy…”

She ran into my arms.

“Please don’t be angry.”

I froze.

“Angry at who?”

She looked toward the hallway.

Then whispered:

“Her.”

My heart dropped.

“Who?”

But before she could answer…

Victoria appeared.

Perfect hair.

Perfect dress.

Perfect smile.

“Daniel?”

She laughed nervously.

“What are you doing home so early?”

I looked at Emma.

Then at Victoria.

“What happened?”

Victoria immediately changed her expression.

“Nothing.”

I hated that word.

Nothing.

Adults always used it when something was definitely wrong.

“She’s emotional,” Victoria continued.

“She misunderstood something.”

I looked down at my daughter.

“Emma, tell me.”

She grabbed my hand.

“Daddy…”

Her voice trembled.

“She said I’m not really part of this family.”

The room went silent.

Victoria’s face changed.

Only for a second.

But I saw it.

Fear.

“Emma, don’t make things up.”

I turned toward my wife.

“Did you say that to her?”

Victoria crossed her arms.

“She needs discipline.”

Those words made my blood run cold.

“She is eight years old.”

“And she needs to understand reality.”

I stared at her.

“What reality?”

Victoria looked at Emma.

“That this house belongs to people who earned it.”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing.

Because suddenly I understood.

Emma wasn’t scared because she was sensitive.

She was scared because someone had been making her feel unwanted.

That night, after Emma fell asleep, I started looking for answers.

I checked the security cameras.

Several recordings were missing.

Strange.

I checked the house computer.

I found deleted messages.

Then I found something that made my hands shake.

A conversation between Victoria and her sister.

Victoria wrote:

“Once Daniel changes the inheritance documents, the girl won’t be a problem anymore.”

My heart stopped.

Another message appeared.

“He still thinks this is about love.”

I stared at the screen.

This was never about becoming Emma’s mother.

This was about removing her.

But I wasn’t prepared for what I discovered next.

Hidden in Victoria’s closet was a folder.

Inside were copies of my financial documents.

My company records.

And a draft of a new family agreement.

A document that would transfer control of everything…

to Victoria.

At the bottom was a signature line.

My name.

Waiting for me.

She wasn’t just hurting my daughter.

She was planning to take everything.

The next morning, Victoria walked downstairs smiling.

She thought I still knew nothing.

She thought I was the same man who believed every word she said.

But she was wrong.

Because that night, I made one promise.

Not as a businessman.

Not as a husband.

As a father.

No one would ever make my daughter feel unwanted again.

And if I had to destroy my own marriage to protect her…

I would.

My Stepmother Forced Me To Wear A Maid Uniform In My Own Home — Until My Father Came Back Early And Saw The Truth
PART 1

The first thing my father noticed was the uniform.

Not the tears.

Not the tired eyes.

Not the way his daughter was standing silently in the corner.

The uniform.

Because it was impossible.

His daughter was standing in his mansion…

wearing the clothes of a housemaid.

My name is Ethan Carter.

And for two years, I believed my daughter Emily was living a happy life.

After losing my wife, I thought the hardest chapter of our lives was behind us.

I was wrong.

Emily was only ten years old when her mother passed away.

She was a bright, gentle child.

The kind of girl who would share her dessert with someone else.

The kind of girl who apologized even when someone hurt her.

When I married Victoria, I thought I was giving Emily a new family.

Victoria was charming.

Elegant.

Patient.

At least…

that was what everyone saw.

“She’s lucky to have you,” my friends told Victoria.

“You’re like a second mother to Emily.”

Victoria always smiled.

“I love her like my own daughter.”

I believed those words.

Because I wanted to.

But slowly, things started changing.

Emily stopped asking for new clothes.

She stopped joining family dinners.

She stopped laughing.

Whenever I asked what was wrong, she always answered:

“I’m fine, Dad.”

But she never looked fine.

I was always busy with work.

Long meetings.

Business trips.

Late nights.

And every time I left the house…

Victoria became a completely different person.

At first, it was small things.

“You’re too messy.”

“You’re too lazy.”

“You need to learn your place.”

Then it became worse.

One day, I came home and found Emily cleaning the entire kitchen.

She was only wearing an old shirt and jeans.

“What are you doing?”

I asked.

She immediately stopped.

Then looked toward the stairs.

“Victoria said I need to help more.”

I looked at Victoria.

She smiled.

“Children need responsibility.”

I accepted that answer.

Because I trusted my wife.

That was my biggest mistake.

A month later, Victoria started doing something even worse.

She bought Emily a uniform.

A black-and-white maid dress.

When I saw it, I thought it was a joke.

“Why would you buy this?”

I asked.

Victoria laughed.

“Oh, it’s just for fun.”

But Emily wasn’t laughing.

She looked down.

I didn’t understand why.

Until one afternoon, I came home unexpectedly.

The house was quiet.

Too quiet.

I walked through the hallway.

Then I heard a small voice.

“Please… I’m tired.”

I stopped.

It was Emily.

I followed the sound.

And what I saw made my blood run cold.

My ten-year-old daughter was standing in the kitchen.

Wearing the maid uniform.

Her hands were red from washing dishes.

Her hair was messy.

Her eyes were full of tears.

And Victoria was sitting at the table.

Drinking coffee.

“You’re not finished yet.”

Victoria said coldly.

Emily lowered her head.

“I have homework.”

Victoria laughed.

“Homework?”

“You should be grateful I let you stay in this house.”

My heart stopped.

I stepped forward.

“Emily.”

Both of them froze.

Victoria’s face changed instantly.

“Ethan?”

My daughter looked at me.

And for the first time in years…

she didn’t pretend everything was okay.

She ran toward me.

“Dad…”

Her voice broke.

“I’m sorry.”

I hugged her.

“Why are you apologizing?”

She whispered:

“Because she said if I told you, you would choose her instead.”

I looked at Victoria.

The woman who promised to love my daughter.

The woman who called herself her mother.

“You made my daughter work as a maid?”

Victoria immediately defended herself.

“She’s exaggerating.”

“No.”

My voice became cold.

“She’s a child.”

Victoria stood.

“You don’t understand. She needs discipline.”

I looked around the kitchen.

The uniform.

The cleaning supplies.

The exhausted child standing behind me.

And suddenly everything made sense.

The missing smiles.

The silence.

The fear.

My daughter wasn’t becoming distant.

She was surviving.

That night, after Emily went to sleep, I searched through the house.

I checked cameras.

Phone records.

Messages.

And what I discovered destroyed everything.

Victoria had been telling people Emily was “difficult.”

That she was “spoiled.”

That she needed strict control.

But the truth was completely different.

The cameras showed Victoria forcing Emily to clean.

Taking away her belongings.

Making her eat separately.

Then I found the message that made me lose control.

A message between Victoria and her sister.

“Once Ethan changes the inheritance papers, the girl won’t matter anymore.”

I stared at the screen.

This was never about discipline.

It was about control.

Victoria wasn’t trying to raise my daughter.

She was trying to erase her.

But she made one mistake.

She forgot one thing.

Emily still had a father.

And now that I knew the truth…

I would never let anyone hurt her again.

The next morning, Victoria woke up thinking everything was normal.

She didn’t know I had copied every message.

Every recording.

Every piece of evidence.

She didn’t know I had already called my lawyer.

And she definitely didn’t know…

that the little girl she tried to silence was about to become the person who exposed her.

“They Said It Was a Family Matter — Until The Police Arrived And Exposed The Truth”

The screaming started before anyone called the police.

At first, the neighbors thought it was another argument.

Another family fight behind closed doors.

Another moment where everyone would pretend nothing happened the next morning.

But they were wrong.

Because this time, a child was standing in the middle of it.

And someone finally decided enough was enough.

My name is Daniel Carter.

For years, I believed family problems should stay inside the family.

I believed people deserved second chances.

I believed that no matter how difficult things became, blood was supposed to mean something.

That belief almost destroyed everything I loved.

Especially my daughter, Lily.

Lily was only six years old.

She was the kind of child who apologized when someone else hurt her.

The kind of child who tried to make everyone happy.

And that was exactly what scared me.

Because children like Lily often stay quiet when they are afraid.

After my divorce, I worked hard to give Lily a stable life.

I wanted her to have a normal childhood.

A safe home.

A place where she never had to worry.

But when my ex-wife’s family became more involved, I started noticing changes.

Lily became quieter.

She stopped asking to visit certain relatives.

She would hold my hand tightly whenever we arrived at their house.

And every time I asked what was wrong, she gave the same answer.

“I’m okay, Daddy.”

But a parent knows.

A parent always knows when their child is hiding pain.

One afternoon, I arrived at the family house earlier than expected.

I was supposed to pick Lily up after dinner.

But the moment I stepped into the yard, I heard shouting.

Not normal arguing.

Angry shouting.

“Stop lying!”

A voice screamed.

Then I heard Lily crying.

My heart dropped.

I ran toward the house.

Inside, everyone was standing around the living room.

My ex-wife’s brother was furious.

Her parents were trying to calm him down.

And Lily was standing in the corner, terrified.

“Lily!”

I rushed toward my daughter.

She immediately ran into my arms.

“Daddy…”

Her voice was shaking.

That one word told me everything.

I looked around the room.

“Who scared my daughter?”

Nobody answered.

Instead, they started explaining.

“It’s not what you think.”

“She’s just sensitive.”

“It was a misunderstanding.”

Those words.

I had heard them before.

People always used them when they wanted to avoid responsibility.

I looked at Lily.

“Tell me what happened.”

She looked at the adults around her.

She was afraid to speak.

And that was when I understood.

She wasn’t silent because nothing happened.

She was silent because she thought nobody would believe her.

Before I could ask again, the argument exploded.

The adults started blaming each other.

Accusations.

Excuses.

Old family problems finally coming to the surface.

Then someone pushed too far.

A chair moved.

Someone stepped forward aggressively.

And suddenly, the situation became dangerous.

I immediately moved in front of Lily.

“No one comes near my daughter.”

But instead of calming down, the anger became worse.

Someone called the police.

At first, everyone thought they could explain everything away.

They thought it was just a family disagreement.

They thought the police would arrive, ask a few questions, and leave.

They were wrong.

When the officers arrived, they didn’t just look at the adults.

They looked at Lily.

Because they understood something everyone else ignored.

Children remember everything.

The officers separated everyone and began asking questions.

“What happened here?”

At first, everyone told a different story.

Everyone wanted to appear innocent.

Everyone wanted to blame someone else.

But then Lily finally spoke.

Quietly.

Slowly.

And her words changed everything.

She explained the things she had been afraid to say.

The moments when adults told her to stay quiet.

The times she felt uncomfortable.

The reasons she no longer wanted to visit certain people.

The room went silent.

Because the truth coming from a child was stronger than every excuse from an adult.

The man who had been shouting moments earlier suddenly changed his attitude.

“I never meant anything.”

“It wasn’t serious.”

“She misunderstood.”

But the police officers had heard those words many times.

They knew that people often minimized their actions after being confronted.

The investigation continued.

Statements were taken.

Evidence was collected.

And slowly, the truth began to come out.

The family that spent years protecting appearances finally had to face reality.

Days later, I sat with Lily at home.

She was drawing pictures at the kitchen table.

For the first time in weeks, she looked peaceful.

“Daddy?”

“Yes, sweetheart?”

“Are you mad at me?”

That question broke my heart.

I put down my coffee and looked at her.

“No, Lily.”

“Why?”

“Because you did the bravest thing.”

“What did I do?”

“You told the truth.”

She smiled slightly.

And in that moment, I realized something important.

Family is not about protecting people who hurt others.

Family is not about keeping secrets to avoid embarrassment.

Family is about protecting the people who are most vulnerable.

That day, I lost the illusion that everyone with the same last name would always do the right thing.

But I gained something more important.

I learned that being a father doesn’t mean avoiding conflict.

Sometimes it means standing directly in front of it.

Because when a child needs protection…

a real parent doesn’t look away.

The Hidden Vault Left Behind By His Father — Daniel Opened It And Discovered The Betrayal That Destroyed His Family

Daniel Moretti always believed he knew his family.

For years, he had lived under the shadow of his father, Victor Moretti — a powerful businessman who built a billion-dollar empire through discipline, intelligence, and ruthless decisions.

After Victor’s death, Daniel inherited not only the company, but also the responsibility of protecting the Moretti name.

Everyone believed Daniel had everything.

A successful business.

A beautiful home.

A loving wife.

A perfect life.

But behind the walls of the Moretti mansion, secrets had been growing for years.

Secrets that were about to destroy everything Daniel thought he knew.

It started with a mysterious envelope.

Daniel found it waiting on his desk one evening after a long day at work.

No sender.

No address.

Only his name written on the front.

Daniel.

The handwriting immediately made his heart stop.

He knew that handwriting.

His father’s.

Inside the envelope was only one thing.

A small metal key.

Attached to it was a single number:

317

Daniel stared at it for several minutes.

His father had been dead for almost two years.

Why would Victor leave him a key without an explanation?

Why hide something from him?

The only person Daniel trusted enough to ask was Claire.

Claire had been his father’s personal attorney for more than a decade.

She knew Victor’s business secrets.

She knew the parts of the Moretti empire that even Daniel had never seen.

When Daniel showed her the key, her expression changed immediately.

“You found this?”

She whispered.

Daniel noticed the fear in her voice.

“What is it?”

Claire looked away.

“I don’t know.”

A pause.

“But if Victor hid it, there was a reason.”

The next morning, Daniel, Claire, and another attorney traveled downtown to a private storage facility hidden beneath an old financial building.

A place most people didn’t even know existed.

The employee checked the number.

“Box 317.”

He led them down a quiet hallway.

Rows of metal storage units surrounded them.

No cameras.

No signs.

No records available to the public.

Daniel inserted the key.

A small click echoed through the room.

The door opened.

Inside was not money.

Not jewelry.

Not property documents.

Only a single black case.

Claire looked at Daniel.

“Your father didn’t want someone to find an inheritance.”

She swallowed.

“He wanted someone to find the truth.”

Daniel opened the case.

Inside were three things.

A flash drive.

Several photographs.

And a handwritten letter.

The moment Daniel saw the handwriting, his chest tightened.

Daniel,

If you are reading this, then something happened before I had the chance to tell you myself.

Daniel stopped.

His fingers tightened around the paper.

Claire placed a hand on his shoulder.

“Keep going.”

He continued.

My son, I spent my entire life building Moretti Group. I believed money and power could protect the people I loved. I was wrong.

Daniel frowned.

The greatest threat to everything I built was never outside our family.

A cold feeling moved through him.

The person who will hurt you most is someone you trust completely.

Daniel looked at Claire.

Neither of them spoke.

Then he read the next line.

Victoria is not the woman you believe she is.

The room became silent.

Victoria.

His wife.

The woman he had loved for years.

The woman who stood beside him through every business crisis.

The woman everyone believed was his greatest supporter.

Daniel’s hands began to shake.

“What does this mean?”

He whispered.

Claire didn’t answer.

Because she had already started looking through the photographs.

Then she froze.

“Daniel…”

He turned.

The first picture showed Victoria.

But she wasn’t with him.

She was standing beside Adrian Moretti.

Daniel’s cousin.

The man he had grown up with.

The man he trusted like a brother.

Daniel took the photograph.

“When was this taken?”

Claire looked at the date.

“Three years ago.”

Before anyone suspected anything.

Before Victor died.

Then they found more.

Victoria and Adrian meeting secretly.

Private dinners.

Documents exchanged.

Long conversations outside business offices.

But one photograph made Daniel’s blood run cold.

Victoria and Adrian were standing outside a law firm.

Holding a folder.

Claire immediately recognized it.

“That’s a corporate transfer agreement.”

Daniel looked at her.

“What?”

“They weren’t just having an affair.”

Claire’s voice became serious.

“They were preparing to take control of your company.”

Daniel plugged the flash drive into the laptop.

A video file appeared.

No title.

Only a date.

The date was two months before his father’s death.

He clicked play.

The screen showed a private office.

Then a familiar voice filled the room.

Victoria.

“Once Daniel signs the documents, everything will belong to us.”

Daniel froze.

Another voice answered.

Adrian.

“And if he refuses?”

Victoria smiled.

“He won’t.”

A pause.

“Daniel always trusts the people he loves.”

Daniel stopped breathing.

The woman he shared his home with had been planning his destruction.

But then the video continued.

Adrian asked:

“What about Victor?”

Victoria’s expression changed.

“He already knows too much.”

Daniel immediately stopped the video.

The room went silent.

Claire looked at him.

“Daniel…”

But he couldn’t answer.

Because the truth he had spent two years avoiding was finally standing in front of him.

His father’s death wasn’t just a tragedy.

It was connected to the betrayal happening inside his own family.

Then Claire opened another folder on the drive.

A file name appeared:

THE REAL REASON VICTOR MORETTI DIED

Daniel clicked it.

Inside was a collection of documents.

Financial records.

Private messages.

Hidden transactions.

Evidence of a plan that had been years in the making.

His father had known.

Victor Moretti had discovered the betrayal.

And before he died, he prepared everything.

Not to save himself.

But to save his son.

Claire looked at Daniel.

“Your father didn’t leave you money.”

She pointed at the evidence.

“He left you a war.”

At that exact moment, inside the Moretti mansion, Victoria received a phone call.

“He opened the box.”

Her face immediately changed.

“What?”

“He found the files.”

For several seconds, she said nothing.

Then her expression hardened.

“Then we have a problem.”

The person on the other end asked:

“What do we do?”

Victoria looked toward Daniel’s office.

“Before he tells anyone the truth…”

She whispered.

“Make sure he never gets the chance.”

But Victoria made one mistake.

She underestimated Daniel.

The man who spent years trusting everyone around him was gone.

Now he knew the truth.

And he was ready to destroy the people who tried to destroy him.

Because this was no longer about money.

No longer about power.

No longer about the Moretti empire.

It was about justice.

And Daniel Moretti was about to expose the biggest betrayal his family had ever seen.
TO BE CONTINUED — PART 2: “Daniel Exposed His Wife’s Betrayal — Then He Discovered His Father Left One Final Secret That Could Destroy Them All.”

09/05/2026

Mia buried her face against his suit while sobbing.
“Dad… she takes my glasses during Adrian’s night visits.”
Several feet away, Adrian Moretti froze in place.
“Celeste…” he said, panic breaking through his voice. “You said she was always asleep.”
The entire reception fell completely silent.
Celeste lunged toward Mia.
At that same moment, Adrian moved toward Rocco.
Rocco shoved Celeste away, intercepted Adrian, and drove one powerful punch into his upper body, sending him staggering hard against the wall.
Bodyguards immediately surrounded the group.
Rocco kept Mia safely against his side, bent down, and picked up her broken glasses from the floor.
Then he slowly looked between his fiancée and his cousin.
“Now tell me what the hell you’re hiding.”
Adrian’s face went pale.
But while Rocco turned Mia’s broken glasses over in his hand, he noticed something strange.
Celeste wasn’t watching Adrian.
Instead, she was staring at the glasses.
And whatever frightened her seemed to have nothing to do with the broken lenses.
