A Georgia mother is mourning both of her young sons after a dispute allegedly escalated into deadly gunfire during a family barbecue.

Jamarion Rolle, 11, and Jahki Clark, 12, were killed in the shooting at the Nissan Golden Gate apartment community on North Hairston Road.
A 19-year-old woman and a 39-year-old woman were also shot. Both remained hospitalized in stable condition.

The victims’ mother said there was a fight after a football game on Thursday, and the family of the kids involved came to their home on Sunday while they were having a barbecue.

Things escalated quickly with fighting, and then there were gunshots.
The mother heard the gunfire and ran out to find her 12-year-old, Jahki, had been shot. She also found her 11-year-old, Jamarion, outside with a gunshot wound to the head.

Ja’marion died at the scene. Ja’khi later died at the hospital.

The boys’ mother said her 17-year-old pregnant niece was shot three times and the teenager’s mother was also shot. Both remain at Grady Memorial Hospital in need of surgery. They are also concerned about her niece’s unborn baby.
The mother said the suspects ran away and that she gave investigators video of them.

A woman who knew the boys described them as close brothers who looked out for each other and for the children around them.

"The kids were good. You know, they had good souls, good-hearted kids. They were actually little kids, act like normal little kids do these days.

They looked out for each other. They looked out for my kids. They stuck together as a tight-knit group, as they're supposed to. And it should never result in death, honestly. It should not."

Two brothers are gone, two relatives are wounded, and one family is left trying to understand how a dispute involving children ended in this much devastation.

DeKalb County police said they have no updates on arrests but will share information when available. Anyone with information is urged to call investigators.

He had 12 years of experience as an electrician, then life unraveled fast.

Zack told Key West officers that after moving to Florida, he lost his car, his tools, his belongings, and eventually his place to stay.
After missing curfew at a shelter, he said he was exhausted and found what he believed was a construction property where he could rest for the night.

Surveillance later showed him sleeping on outdoor furniture beneath the home until workers arrived the next morning.
Police located him riding a bicycle nearby, and He ultimately faced a trespassing charge.

Sometimes the most unforgettable police encounters aren’t about what happened.

They’re about the story that led someone there.

San Antonio Teen Charged After Handing Month-Old Baby to a Stranger at a Bus Stop

An 18-year-old mother is charged with abandoning and endangering a child after police say she tried to give her 1-month-old son to a stranger at a downtown bus stop.

Jennifer Benavides said she was about to board a bus last Sunday night when a woman she did not know asked to use her phone, then offered her the infant.

Benavides said the woman called the boy beautiful and asked if she wanted him, saying she was going to give him away. The woman then handed over a birth certificate, Medicaid card, and Social Security card, Benavides said.

Police identified the woman as Karla Ibarra, 18. Benavides said she and a nearby friend took Ibarra and the baby to the friend’s home. Ibarra called an Uber and left the child there, and police were called.

Ibarra later returned to the house and was arrested. She is charged with abandoning and endangering a child with intent to return.

Child Protective Services said the boy was placed with relatives.

Texas’s Baby Moses law lets a parent surrender an unharmed newborn 60 days old or younger without criminal penalties if the child is handed to staff at a designated safe haven such as a hospital, fire station, or EMS station. A bus stop is not a designated location.

All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Lindsay Clancy Lawyer Casts Blame on Single Juror Alleging Holdout 'Refused to Apply the Law'

Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer let slip that the lone holdout juror in her murder trial is a man as the judge in the case grew visibly frustrated with the attorney over his request that the juror deliver his instructions to the 12-member panel more forcefully.

“I would ask that you not give [the jury] a soft inquiry. I would ask that you specifically direct their attention to proof beyond a reasonable doubt and re-instruct them forcefully,” Clancy’s lawyer, Kevin Reddington, said to Judge William Sullivan in court Thursday on the seventh day of deliberations.

Clancy’s grueling murder trial came to an end Friday when the judge officially declared it a mistrial over the lone juror holdout.

OHIO HAITIAN STUDENT TAKES HIS OWN LIFE AFTER BEING FITTED WITH ICE ANKLE MONITOR.

20-year-old Pierre Damas Bel called his father on video. “I’m not feeling okay mentally because of the bullying,” Pierre told him. His father told him to come home so they could talk.
Pierre never made it home.

Less than an hour later, Pierre parked his car on the shoulder of Interstate 70 outside Springfield, Ohio, got out, and walked into traffic. A tractor-trailer struck and killed him.

Thirty-three days earlier, ICE had put a GPS monitor around Pierre’s ankle. Pierre told people what it was doing to him. “I came to this country to pursue my education. I didn’t come here to commit a crime or hurt anyone.”

He wrote that walking around with the monitor left him feeling “shame and humiliation” and asked how he was supposed to play college sports with it strapped to his leg.

Pierre had graduated from Springfield High School with a 3.8 GPA, belonged to the National Honor Society, played varsity soccer, served as a lieutenant in Marine Corps JROTC, worked at Texas Roadhouse, volunteered, helped other students learn English, earned scholarships, and had just started at Wright State University to study neuroscience.

His teachers, employer, and coworkers wrote letters begging the immigration court to let him stay. A retired Marine captain gave Pierre his “highest endorsement,” praising his Honor, Courage, and Commitment.

“It is my sincere hope that Mr. Bel has the opportunity to see his plans come to fruition, much as all young men and women his age should have the opportunity to do,” the teacher wrote. “I have no doubt that given the opportunity, he will only continue to deepen and broaden not only in his personal growth, but also in his dedication to the city, state, and country that he has chosen to make his home.”

Pierre did everything America tells immigrants to do. Learn English. Work. Study. Serve. Volunteer. Stay out of trouble. Go to college. Build a future. And after he did all of it, America put an electronic tracking device around his ankle and made him walk through the community he had worked so hard to join.
After Pierre died, his father said, “The government treated my son like an animal.”

ICE responded by confirming it had placed Pierre on electronic monitoring on July 29, then explaining that people fighting removal don’t have to stay here and wear monitors.

They can self-deport, take a government-arranged flight, and collect $2,600 after leaving. Pierre was dead at twenty; his father was grieving, and the agency that put the monitor on his ankle essentially responded: He could have left.

Pastor Carl Ruby of Central Christian Church wrote on social media that Bel threw himself in front of a semi “after being teased by fellow students at Wright State about his ankle monitor.”

“I wish President Trump could hear the mom’s wails. The family wants people to know that this was a su***de and they want people to know that President Trump, (Stephen) Miller, and Markwayne Mullin’s inhumane immigration policies made this happen,” Ruby wrote.

On July 30, Bel posted a 20-photo Instagram carousel highlighting his awards, diploma, plans to study neuroscience at Wright State University, soccer team, and the electronic monitor around his ankle.

“I came to this country to pursue my education. I didn’t come here to commit a crime or hurt anyone,” he captioned the post. “Yet now I’m walking through the streets of the United States with a GPS monitor on my leg, carrying a feeling of shame and humiliation that I never imagined I would experience.

I came here to study, to build my future, and to live a better life, not to be treated like a criminal. So now, how am I supposed to play college sports with a GPS monitor on my leg?”
Bel posted outfit photos of his first day of classes at Wright State on Aug. 24.

The semi truck driver called 911, telling the dispatcher a man “got out of his car and jumped right out in front of my semi.” The driver said the man was “under my truck.”

“He jumped right out in front of me. Oh my God; I killed him,” the driver said.

19-year-old Nathalie Rodriguez Gonzalez was taken into custody on Friday after she allegedly extorted her lover.

Per the report, Nathalie was working as a waitress at a restaurant in Miami-Dade County, Florida, when she and the victim began to engage in a romantic relationship.

The suspect said that after a few dates, she learned that he had a girlfriend for the “entire time they were together” and allegedly responded by sending threatening text messages to the victim and demanding $20,000 from his bank account.

Authorities said she warned that if she wasn't paid, she would tack on an additional $5,000 to the total payment and would send intimate pictures to his girlfriend and business partner. Deputies said the suspect further warned that she would post those pictures on all of her social media platforms

“This will genuinely get posted if he doesn't wire me money BTW," she allegedly told the man's girlfriend.

After the victim refused to pay the suspect, she allegedly sent one of the photos to his business partner and asked the partner for the phone number of the victim's girlfriend so that she could send the photo, reportedly texting, “Should I post this on my IG and tag everyone?”

The suspect then allegedly sent the picture to the victim's girlfriend and told her, “This will genuinely get posted if he doesn't wire me money BTW.” Rodriguez Gonzalez then allegedly posted the images to her TikTok page, as well as other photos, and continued to send threatening messages.

The suspect was arrested at her home on Friday, and when speaking to investigators, she allegedly gave a “full confession.”

Passenger killed by mailbox after leaning out of car; driver accused of felony DWI.

A Springfield woman faces a felony charge after her passenger was killed in a horrific crash early Sunday morning in Christian County.

A Missouri woman was killed upon impact with a mailbox while hanging her head from the car window. The driver, her friend, was arrested and possibly facing felony charges.

28-year-old Alyssa Vanorsdel and her 25-year-old friend were driving along Highway U near Rogerville, Missouri, when a carefree moment cost a young woman her life.

It was 4 a.m. on the morning of August 30th, and Alyssa was driving her SUV westbound on the Christian County highway.
The 25-year-old woman had unbuckled her safety belt and was hanging her head and upper body from the passenger window.

For reasons unknown at this time, Alyssa reportedly veered slightly to the right and clipped a roadside mailbox. The mailbox made full contact with the head of the 25-year-old woman. As a result, the young woman suffered a catastrophic injury to her head.

The injury would ultimately prove to be fatal, and the woman was pronounced deceased on the scene at 4:36 a.m. by first responders.
Following the accident and death of her friend, 28-year-old Alyssa Vanorsdel was arrested.
She was booked into Christian County Jail on suspicion of felony DWI, resulting in a death.

However, Alyssa was released shortly after booking while prosecutors review the incident.

The patrol has not publicly identified the victim.

Our thoughts are with the family of the young woman who passed away.
