Gears of War is going open world, and they are not holding back. The new Gears of War E-Day features a fully destructible city that is shaped entirely by you, the damage you inflict, the missions you take on, and the choices you make all leave a permanent mark on the world around you. An open world Gears was something nobody saw coming, but now that it's here it makes complete sense. The franchise has always been about destruction, war, and survival. Giving players a living, breathing city that crumbles in real time based on their actions takes that identity to a whole new level.

The new Fable trailer shows just how big the world of Albion really is. Playground Games is looking to make a serious statement with this one, coming off the heels of Forza Horizon 6, which is the highest reviewed game of the year. Albion looks massive. The characters look sharp. And if Playground brings even half of the polish they put into Forza, Fable might just be the RPG that reminds everyone why this franchise was so beloved in the first place.
