Huge congratulations to all of Maryland State Fair live stock exhibitors on an amazing fair week! You’ve made your families, chapters, clubs, and community so proud!

The Maryland State Fair Beat the Bar challenge is the ultimate optical illusion. You stand there watching, thinking, "It's just hanging from a bar for two minutes, I can win $150 and buy 40 deep-fried Oreos easy." Suddenly, the bar rotates, physics enters the chat, and your hands completely slide off like you’ve been lubed up with funnel cake grease.

Look at this crowd, not a single closed eye in sight!🫡 Some state fairs are for gentle strolls and afternoon naps on the lawn, but Maryland State Fair goers enjoyed every minute of this fantastic "funopolooza!" Even the "laid-back" guard dog looks hyperactive compared to the energy level at the last state fair in the DMV region earlier this summer!☺️☺️☺️😩🙄😎

Fun Fact: 4-H Club & FFA students wear clean white clothes to show respect for the judges, keep the focus entirely on the quality of the animal, and emphasize cleanliness in agriculture. Keeping those whites clean while handling a stubborn goat is a sport all on its own!

Huge guard dog 🐶 🐾🐶 spotted doing double duty @ the Maryland State Fair! This big guy is a one dog, K9 Unit keeping the live stock perimeter perfectly secure!🫡 If an intruder tries to steal a pig or goat, "Goldie" is fully prepared to lick their hand and ask for a fair funnel cake. 🥰☺️☺️🐶🐾🥠🥠🥠
