Cuándo se te desarrolla hipotiroidismo durante el porstparto y tus entrenamientos ya no son iguales. Incorporándo poco a poco el Karate a mis entrenamientos de fuerza y como pueden ver, la velocidad e impacto no son lo que solían ser (por lo menos hasta los momentos), el dolor en las articulaciones a veces no me permite entrenar como antes. La recuperación está algo lenta pero ahí vamos.

When you develop hypothyroidism during postpartum and your workouts are no longer the same. Gradually incorporating Karate into my strength training and as you can see, speed and impact are not what they used to be (at least until now), joint pain sometimes does not allow me to train as before. The recovery is a bit slow but here we go.

Las primeras veces que nos vimos fue enfrentándonos en Kata y Kumite porque estábamos en la misma categoría cuando teníamos como 12 o 13 años, porque yo estaba en mi primer dojo, ella era mi rival jajaja. Luego mis padres nos cambiaron de Dojo a mí y a mi hermano, era el Dojo donde ella entrenaba, yo tendría como 14 años (si mal no recuerdo). Desde siempre la admiré y respeté porque es muy buena en el Karatw y una gran amiga. Wow cómo pasa el tiempo tan rápido. Una amistad de más de más de 23 años, gracias al Karate 🥋 ¿Piensas que has hecho buenas amistades gracias al arte marciales que practicas?

¿Sabías sobre la importancia de la repetición constante (Renshu) y la reflexión (Keiko) en el camino hacia la maestría en budo? Renshu es la práctica incansable y repetitiva que moldea tanto el cuerpo como la mente a través de la acción, más allá de un mero conocimiento mental.

A través de cientos de miles de repeticiones, el cuerpo llega a “saber” sin pensar, llevando la técnica a un nivel subconsciente. Por otro lado, keiko es el proceso de reflexión sobre esa práctica, donde emergen los principios y conocimientos que dan sentido a las técnicas aprendidas. Ambos son esenciales: renshu para la acción pura y keiko para la comprensión y la transmisión del arte.

Did you know about the importance of continuous repetition (Renshu) and reflection (Keiko) on the path to mastery in budo? Renshu involves relentless, repetitive practice that shapes both body and mind through action, going beyond mere mental knowledge.

Through hundreds of thousands of repetitions, the body learns to “know” without thinking, taking the technique to a subconscious level. On the other hand, keiko is the process of reflecting on that practice, where principles and understanding emerge, giving meaning to the techniques learned. Both are essential: renshu for pure action and keiko for understanding and transmitting the art.
