A whole new way of looking at the world is emerging as you read this.

The Solomonic ties to Ethiopia run deep. Ethiopian tradition holds that Emperor Haile Selassie traced his lineage back to King Solomon of Israel and the Queen of Sheba, through their son Menelik I. That royal line is what gave Ethiopia such a unique place in biblical and historical imagination.

Now, if Haile Selassie truly descended from Solomon, it raises an intriguing thought: if (Yeshua) Jesus also came from Solomon’s lineage, wouldn’t that suggest His appearance might have resembled someone like Haile Selassie?

It’s not about pinning down exact features, but about realizing how connected these lineages are and how different the picture is from the portrayals many of us grew up with—something to really think about.

👉🏿 What does this change about how we see history?

👉🏿 Why were we taught one picture, but not another?

👉🏿 And if lineages connect us in ways we never imagined, what else might we need to relearn?
