የሺዎች ዓመታት ታሪክ ያለን ኢትዮጵያዊያን በታሪካችን ልክ ማደግ መተለቅ ይኖርብናል፦

ሀገራችን የበዙ የታሪክ ባለቤትነቷን የሚመጥን ደረጃ ላይ አለመሆኗ መላው ኢትዮጵያዊ ዜጋን ሁሉ ሊቆጨው ይገባል ሲሉ የጦር ሃይሎች ጠቅላይ ኤታማዦር ሹም ፊልድ ማርሻል ብርሃኑ ጁላ ተናግረዋል።
የምስራቅ ዕዝ 47ኛ ዓመት የምስረታ በዓል በሀረር "ምስራቅ ጮራ" አዳራሽ በተከናወኑ የተለያዩ ሁነቶች ማጠቃለያ ላይ ፊልድ ማርሻሉ እንዳሉት፦
ለሰው ልጅ ምቹ የሆነ የአየር ንብረትና ተፈላጊ ጂኦግራፊያዊ አቀማመጥን ጨምሮ በቀላሉ ሊያበለጽጋት የሚችል ዕምቅ ተፈጥሮአዊ ሀብት የታደለችው ሀገራችን ጸጋዎቿን በተረጋጋ ሰላም መጠቀም አለመቻሏ በእጅጉ ያሳዝናል።
ያለ እንቅልፍ ኢትዮጵያን ወደ ኃላ የሚጎትት ሴራ ሲጎነጉኑ የኖሩና አሁንም ይህንን እኩይ ተግባር በመፈጸም ላይ የሚገኙ ሀገራት እርስ በርስ በማባላት መበተን ሳይሆንላቸው ሲቀር በዙሪያችን እያንዣበቡ እንደሆነም ነው ጠቅላይ ኤታማዦር ሹም ፊልድ ማርሻል ብርሃኑ ጁላ ያመላከቱት።
ሁሌም የውጭ ታሪካዊ ጠላቶቻችን የማይሳካ የጥቃት ሙከራን የሚያስቡት በውስጣችን ችግር አለ ብለው ሲያስቡ እንደሆነ የጠቆሙት ፊልድ ማርሻል ብርሃኑ ጁላ ኢትዮጵያዊያን ስለ ሃገራችን ዘላቂ ብሄራዊ ጥቅም መረጋገጥ በአስተዋይነት በአንድ ሆነን መቆም ይገባናል ብለዋል።
በአሁናዊዋ ዓለማችን እውነታ ለሺዎች ዓመታት ስናደርገው እንደመጣነው ሁሉ እርስ በርስ እየተታኮስን መቀጠል አንችልም ያሉት ጠቅላይ ኤታማዦር ሹሙ አሁን ላይ ሀገራዊ ሰላማችንን ለማረጋገጥ የሚያስችል አቅምና ብቃት ያለው ሰራዊት እየተገነባ መሆኑን አረጋግጠዋል።
በመጨረሻም 47ኛ ዓመት የምስረታ በዓሉን እያከበረ የሚገኘው ምስራቅ ዕዝ እንደ ስሙ በምስራቅ ብቻ ሳይሆን በሁሉም የሀገሪቱ አቅጣጫዎች ለኢትዮጵያ ግዛታዊ አንድነትና ሀገራዊ ሉዓላዊነት በድል የደመቀ ታሪክ የሰራና በቀጣይም የሚሰራ ነው ብለዋል።
