BREAKING: WE DID IT! House PASSES Iran War Powers bill in HUGE win for Hakeem Jeffries and House Democrats and a stunning defeat for Trump, Hegseth, and the rest of the bloodthirsty warmongers!
This is a HUGE surprise…
A Republican-controlled Congress did its job for the first time in two years, passing a bill to stop Trump’s war against Iran 215-208, with just four Republicans crossing the aisle.
Last week, Speaker Johnson was able to shut down the vote before it could happen – but Congressmembers are getting more and more frustrated as Trump’s bad-faith negotiations inevitably go nowhere and the costs to the American people grow by the day.
At the start of the week, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York said “All we need are a handful of Republicans to join us and we can end this reckless and costly war of choice — a war that has cost the American taxpayer over $100 billion — that’s extraordinary — and left our country in a weaker position relative to Iran.”
He got those four. Reps. Thomas Massie, Warren Davidson, Tom Barrett, and Brian Fitzpatrick all voted for the measure.
It should be noted that Donald Trump has personally insulted the wives of both Massie and Fitzpatrick – masterful gambit, Mr. President!
Now the onus falls to the Senate to do the right thing, which they likely will not – Democratic turncoat Senator John Fetterman will almost certainly cross the aisle in order to defend Israeli interests and not America’s – but stranger things have happened, and the fallout from this war is falling on EVERYONE’S constituents as gas prices — and the taxpayer bill — soar higher and higher.
Great job, Democrats! On to the Senate! Let's end this illegal war for good!
